About Me

...caring, kind, passionate, free-spirited, strong, open-minded, blunt yet reserved, sassy but sweet and pretty much a smart ass! I love to laugh (but I'm usually the one who gets laughed at for my 'Holly moments'!). I'm private and shy...but never shut up. I love life, adventure and beautiful people with passion and love in their hearts. I'm as real as they come and I'll always tell you like it is. I truly dislike bullshitters, narrow-minded zealots and bigots.
I'm also a survivor... I came into this world with purity, and like everyone, needing love and protection. My abuser tore that down, robbing me of my innocence. I'm a product of years of domestic violence and sexual abuse...(read my blog "Letter to my Abuser"). “Abuse” is more than a brief encounter...it's dominance by control, manipulation, lies and distrust...and it can have lifelong affects. Counseling can give you freedom and the ability to cope...but it doesn't replace the pain, memories and loss of childhood. I'd love to hear from anyone with similar stories as a way of healing and empowerment...

Several weeks ago I watched Good Will Hunting again with Robin Williams and Matt Damon - a movie I had always been fond of for obvious reasons to those who know me well. There was a scene where Robin ...

Letter to my Abuser

You once told me "you were sorry", that "you would go to your grave" with the pain you caused me. You said this as I was ready to go into one of my many counseling sessions. Do you remember? It was wh...
