Bringing together 2 passionate musicians, Elliptic Mind was born in August 2005. Elliptic, because the ellipsis is the symbol that expresses the best their way to live and their vision of life. Mind, because they believe in human being, its sensitivity and its spirit. Elliptic Mind, for the openness, without limits of its ideas, texts and music. In November 2006, Sylvain Bussières joined as the bass player, bringing new energy to the band. A few months later, the arrival of the amazing keyboardist Mathieu Fiset (Adamind, Manahil, MAG Project) strengthened the chemistry between the band members, adding his creativity and unique style to the sound of Elliptic Mind. His mother, Marie-Josée Morissette, also joined the band to add feeling and beauty to the music with her violin. In 2008, the band discovered the great drummer Christophe Icard so the formation was complete at this moment. Unfortunately, Chris was forced to take a break from drumming in November due to health problems. However, Elliptic Mind had the opportunity to discover the very talented drummer Alexandre Hudon (Detour) which allowed them to complete the formation again (February 2009).
