My Name is Steve Murray and i'm a 35 year old vinyl junkie, DJ,producer,remixer with my own record label (Hydrophonic Recordings).I've been DJing for about 17 years now and producing since 1993 under various names. i have played the drums since i was 10 and to tell u the truth ... i'm bloody good even if i do say so myself. I first started in the music Industry working for lugwig drums delivering drum kits and setting up for exibitions.a dream job for someone that wanted to be the next Mitch Mitchell. 1988 i found ecstacy and acid house and the drums went out the window and in came house music and sweaty clubs. 1989 i started Djing at local parties and bars at the weekend and by 1991 i was totally hooked into the whole DJing thing. in 1992 i got my 1st residency at the Rock Garden in covent garden London,with TY HOLDEN for a night called republica , i was a monthly resident at "Club Foot @ The Escape - brighton" and then a 5 year residenty at london techno club "TRANCENTRAL". Now...i have dj'd all over europe and have been lucky enough to do some excellent nights, i've done everything from running record shops to owning my own promotions company... with plenty of instrument/music distribution in between.....
