2003 Two friends (Bobtown & Grillz) were already buying records for years and organising parties in differents styles. (The glory days of Pro+Activ) After organising so many parties the urge to spin records not only in their own living room became bigger and at one of the Just-A-Flex parties in Ghent history was written. Selah Techniques was founded.
Grillz ended up behind the desk under the influence of The Unlisted Fanatics. Together with this dynamic duo he organised the infamous Foundation Nights in T-Wood. Invisible Bram started with his Giraffe Records and that was an opportunity to gain more music-knowledge. So he jointed the crew.In 2005 Grillz moved to Berlin, where he lived and worked for 1,5 year. There he got in contact with people from Yaam. Yaam is the no.1 reggae location in Berlin. He played longside the veterans Barney Millah & Oli Massive and many more.
Bobtown was spinning hiphop for years as a member of The People From Cloud 9. But his interest for reggae was never far away. Now based in Valencia Spain, Bobtown is focusing on Salsa, Latin Funk, Boogaloo,…
Now Selah Techniques is at the break of a new dawn and lets rock'n roll. Pro+Activ (Pure Positive Pressure) is getting a new boost and the first project is ready for take-off. So keep your eyes and ears open for DeepDigger , a podcast for deepdigging selections and nice mixes. More Selah mixes will be on the download soon.
