End of 1999 ten youngsters (between 18 and 25) founded an organisation called bassdas to be able to run a recording studio and a graphic design studio in connection with internet and webdesign activities. In order to buy expensive new material, they planned to run a little bar on the side.
But because that little bar became always bigger and the interest in such a club and the new music style was so huge and still is, the club was growing all the time. You could meet always more freaks in the bassdas, coming from even further away. As a consequence of this, the line up and the programme became more professional and also more interesting.
Seeing all organisers and helpers work fulltime next to maintaining the club, there are only two to three parties a month. We finance ourselves through paying the rent by the members of the board and club members who pay a yearly membership. Profits are being reinvested in new projects, such as Open Airs (e.g. Highlife Merlischachen), light systems/PA or special DJs/MCs.
The entire operation wouldnt be possible without all the help we get from our members and patrons. These people also receive special benefits like discounts on entries, etc.
The club was closed in march 2002. Now we are a DJ booking and event agency in the following music styles: Nujazz, Brokenbeatz, Drum n Bass and Deephouse. Please check our website for further informations about us.
