About Me

The hottest young producer to come out of Sacramento, "Finguz" also known as, Leland Jackson, is well on his way to becoming a household name.Always an entertainer, Finguz became very popular and well known in Sacramento. Working at Cal Skate, he met a lot of young, aspiring artists. This led him to start a rap group with some local kids. But his calling wasn't to become a rapper. Approached by one of his best friends, who had a rap group of his own, Finguz was talked into producing a few beats...the rest is history.Starting off on FruityLoops, graduating to ProTools, and working on the Motif, Finguz was able to experiment with different production techniques. By 2002, he had Sacramento on lock. Becoming the exclusive producer for The Goondox only heightened his underground hip-hop fan base and spurred upcoming artist and labels to seek out this talented kid.Working with MaddPadd Productions at the beginning of 2004, Finguz has produced tracks for AP-9 of the Mob Figgaz, Dubb 20 and Guce of Bully's with Fullies. People tell people about people, and Finguz has known this since day one. Because of this, Finguz was offered a spot on a promotional tour with Luni Coleone and T-Nutty. Twenty states later and more musical praise, Finguz decided to further concentrate on his production career upon his return home.Once home, the real work began. Finding a place to with unlimited access to a board was difficult for the 19 year old. Fate had a way of making things happen. Finguz moved to Los Angeles with MaddHatter, and together, they built their in-home studio.Los Angeles was short lived. It proved to be a place where a young man could be easily sidetracked from his goals. After the birth of his daughter, Finguz found himself back in the solace of some place familiar...Sacramento. It was back here where the pieces started to really come together.Within the year, Finguz produced the Goondox's debut album, "Money Train" which has sold more than 150,000 copies. Grinding this album with the group made Finguz realize that reaching his dream wasn't going to be easy, but that it would definitely be worth the hard work and dedication.Getting right back into the grove of things, Finguz hooked up with a long time friend, producer "SideShow" to start on "West Coast 4 Dummies," the Goondox's sophomore album. Before the year was over, Finguz was able to produced tracks for: B Legit, TNutty, Luni Coleone, CBO, Young Bop, Tech 9, The Federation, Snug Brim, Bad Business, Somethin' Terrible, Lil Pig Pen, Kyree, Studio Tone, Rup Dogg, Jinx, Eclipse the Hustla, Lawh, C-Thug, Talamade Gangstas, Scratch & Hit Music, Choose Up Entertainment, J-Yung of Roc Star Ent, Goodfella Records and more. With all of these very promising experience happening, Finguz was ready to move one to bigger endeavors. 2006 brought about a change, and with that change came a relocation to Phoenix, AZ. It was here, where the buzz really began to grow about a young, hyphy phenom from Northern California.Working with C-Thug in the past enabled Finguz to connect with HMF. Work with the nationally known Jayo Felony, J Diggs, Suga Free, Team OSM, Yung Murf, Killa Tay and Turf Talk came soon after his arrival to the Hindu Mafia Family. Instant acceptance and a lasting bond formed, Finguz finally found someplace he can call home in a musical sense. Talented, progressive, and most importantly, united, HMF and Finguz will become synonymous with hip-hop.
