Surfing, Horseback riding, Surfing, hockey, SCUBA, music, movies, reading, and oh yah, Surfing.
Anyone who can prove to me that there's fun times to be had in Duluth. Or someone who'll drive me in and out of the city so we can have fun there!
You can't go wrong with good old classic rock. although hip-hop is always a good alternative, as is new rock, and good old punk. okay, everything but country, easy listening, and hard core rock. oh, and that horrible 80's guitar wailing, yeuch.
I will fully admit to being a movie-aholic. I'll see anything (except horror, unless I have a cute guy to save me from the scary monsters!). My faves change depending on the mood I'm in, but to get the general gist take a look at: Eternal Sunshine, True Lies, Monty Python (Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Meaning of Life), Pride and Predjudice (the 6hr BBC version's the best), Much ado about nothing (the branagh version), Casablanca, The Quiet Man, My Fair Lady, and so many more. I know, random selections, but whatever, I'm random!!
Anyone who's ever seen Eureka can't help but love it, and I'm no exception. I also am addicted to NCIS, Las Vegas, Psych, Good Eats, and TCM's the essentials (which really should be in the movie category, but I like learning about the film more than watching them sometimes!)
Anything by Anne McCaffrey, Neil Gaiman, or Terry Pratchett. Memoires of a geisha, American Gods, all the Harry Potters, The lord of the rings (the movies do no justice to tolkein), Once and future king, Mists of avalon, and most of shakespeare (I'm not a tremendous othello fan).
I know this is so cliche, but my mom. Married with two kids by 25, then she put herself through law school, and is now a succesful attorney with a succesful marriage who's got the resources to travel the world and do whatever she wants!!. Now that's a hard act to live up to. But i love her anyway.
