【Biography】
From childhood, she has loved to express herself creatively.
She participated in various contests including essay writing, painting, playing the piano, and singing, among others, in which she won more than 10 awards.
Between the ages of 10 and 12, she worked as a child personality on a national TV program.
In 1991, she went to Bournemouth in England to study English. During her stay there, she made up her mind to be a singer. She sang weekly in a very popular pub on Saturdays.
After she came back to Japan, she started her new singing life in Tokyo.
In 1995, she was contracted as a songwriter by Fuji Pacific Music Publication.
In 1997, she was signed as a singer by Pioneer Music Entertainment.
Through these companies she released several singles and did extensive touring and studio-work, for example, singing theme songs of cartoons, TV commercials, TV programs, and movies.
In 2000, she took a break from all public music activities, and worked as an illustrator in a publishing house.
During this period, she sang as a volunteer in a military base, nursing homes, and prisons, to provide consolation.
Profoundly moved by these experiences, she has returned to singing professionally with a renewed conviction in the power of song, and now, she is playing an active part in various areas.
