About Me

I'm a bit of an impostor in MySpace. I'm really just here because I couldn't stand watching over my husband's shoulder as he gets into conversations I can't join because I don't have my own MySpace account. As for me... I'm a nurse who likes to hang out with people with mental illness (or work in international development) and I'm in grad school. I teach nursing at a university and I like to watch my students become world-changers (really! I've seen it happen!). Any emergence of creative art (visual, musical, dance, whatever) is exciting to me. I'm a Jesus-follower and I like to share homes and meals and life with friends and transients who pass through or linger in my world. I'm madly in love with a guy, which is great, because I'm married to the same one (we're silly-crazy about each other, which is fun for us and probably very irritating for everybody else). We have two wonder-kids named Chelsea and Chanelle. These are my three favourite human beings on Earth. I have another favourite human being, who is just a few months old but I haven't met her yet because she's inside my belly - she just sends me messages in Morse code via kicks. She's also musically talented. She wrote a song for me that involves a techno rhythm and static - okay, it's her heartbeat recorded through a Doppler. It is my favourite song in the world at the moment (sorry to all my musician friends!)................................................... ............................................................ ...

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Uh - maybe you? Are you up to something interesting these days? Do you ride a bike or drive a biodiesel car? Have you been to the Wamena Valley in Papua, or the Chimanimani Mountains in Zimbabwe? Or have you found a secret place on your street or in your backyard where you do your reading, dreaming or pouting? Do you play an instrument I've never heard of (though my friend is a mellophonist - you can't surprise me with that one). Do you work really hard on something that matters to you a whole lot, though it seems small and insignificant to most people? Or... well, you tell me - Would I like to meet you? What's your story?
