Have a nice, warm bigguh!

About Me

My name is Rian. I'm an aspiring professional wrestler currently residing in Calgary, AB, Canada with my great girlfriend Georgia and our bad little dog Buttercup. I like the people here, but I want to move somewhere with more action. I'm hoping to make a move to southern California within the next couple months.

I'm nice guy, though my sense of humor can be a bit odd at times. Most people find me entertaining, if not a bit annoying at times. I am pretty random I've been told. I love quoting movies and doing impressions. When you first meet me I can be a pretty shy (aka 'the quiet little mouse), but I come out of it once you get to know me better.
I'm pretty new to wrestling (well, technically I've been involved for awhile, but I'm very inexperienced), I've had around maybe 15 matches. I was trained for six months by Bruce Hart and Ross Hart in the infamous Hart family "dugeon". Down the road I was trained by TJ Wilson and I'm currently being trained by "Ravenous" Randy Myers. Every now and then ol' DH Smith will show me some stuff.
My interests? I like geeky things! Nintendo/video games, Japanese cartoons, pro-wrestling obviously, bodybuilding (though eating healthy is a mental challenge), making music/playing guitar, classic 80's action movies.

My Interests

Weight lifting, wrestling, nostalgia, anime (geeky, I know), playing guitar, writing songs, Nintendo, Homestar Runner.

I'd like to meet:

My biggest hope is to meet God/Christ and hopefully be on his good side.
Let's see... As far as friends, as long as you're friendly, fun, and repectful we're pretty much good to go. :-) Always cool if you have similar interests, but the main thing is that you're a decent person and we can have fun together.

Music:

Little bit of this, a little bit of that.Don't care much for popular country (though country guitar is awesome) or screamo, but other than that I'm usually good. At the moment I'm into some of your more popular metal or heavy bands from throughout the ages (not so much nu metal though), hard-rock, blues, and when I exercise half the time I like to listen to mainstream rap, hip-hop, pop, etc. I like some classical for reading or relaxing.Bands I currently enjoy in no particular order:
AC/DC
Queen
Guns n' Roses
Velvet Revolver
Chuck Berry
Brian Setzer
Billy Talent
Metallica
Ozzy
Black Label Society
Pantera
Megadeth
Motorhead
Dragonforce
Nevermore (Well, like one or two songs anyway)
Elvis
*My scenester/indie friends hate the following bands, but I find them too catchy to deny.*
Panic! At the Disco
Fallout Boy
Avenged Sevenfold
I used to be big into pop-punk. The Beatles and The Beach Boys are always classic. I also like some 90's and early 2000's stuff, reminds me of the good ol' days.

Movies:

The 40-Year Old Virgin, ,Zoolander (and almost anything else with Ben Stiller, though The Heartbreak Kid sucked), Old School, Wedding Crashers, My Sassy Girl, Pumping Iron, Bloodsport, vampire movies, bodybuilding movies, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Office Space, Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, Joe Dirt, Ocean Waves (and other Miyazaki films), Napoleon Dynamite, That Thing You Do!, and anything that makes me feel nostalgic. These are all I could think of at the moment, but there are many more I'm sure.

Television:

Hmmm... The Simpsons, Family Guy, Aqua Teens Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, actually pretty much all of [adult swim], Sea Lab 2021, Robot Chicken i think it's called, Inuyasha, Everybody Loves Raymond, Seindfeld, 8 Simple Rules..., That 70's Show, King of Queens, King of the Hill, My Wife and Kids, Hogan Knows Best, Blind Date... that's all I can think of right now. Oh, and I like some cooking shows.

Books:

The Old Man and the Sea
Any of the Goosebumps books
The Phantom Tollbooth
Perfume
My Imitation of Christ
The Bible

Heroes:

"...at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."Our troops! Ahnuld Schwarzenegger, Jeff Willet, Skip LaCour, Jay Cutler, Van Damme, Ric Flair, Randy Savaga, Misawa, Kobashi, Stan Hansen, Link, Inuyasha, Goku, Hulk Hogan, Mario Mario, Kenshin, Vash the Stampede, Vampire Hunter D, that guy in Love Hina who lives with all those chicks...the list goes on and on.
"I wasn't like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut, I was always more interested in what bark was made out of on a tree. Richard Gere's a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that. I care desperately about what I do. Do I know what product I'm selling? No. Do I know what I'm doing today? No. But I'm here, and I'm gonna give it my best shot. " -Hansel

Haha, bacon is a health food!

I just saw a commercial presenting bacon as a healthy food choice!  Tyson runs these commercials touting their products as high-proteins super foods.  Now, don't get me wrong, I do believe t...

I'm a super hero?

I had 4 people tell me, over the course of roughly 70 minutes in the gym this morning, that I look like Clark Kent!   Over the course of the past few months I've probably heard it 4 to 6 oth...

Couple things...

1) Halloween.  I love it.  You love it.  We all love it.  Why?  Because it is the one day of the year when, let's say, 75% of girls from around ages 17-27 dress...
