LIB 298: Power & Control in an Information Age

This course examines the importance of personal and institutional power in the creation, organization, and accessibility of information in contemporary western societies. If you're interested in learning more about how you know what you know, and why anyone cares IF you knw it, LIB 298 is the class for you!
James A. Michener Library is the University of Northern Colorado's Information Source!! Located on West Campus, Michener Library's collection includes approximately 1.5 million items with subscriptions to almost 100 bibliographic databases and 14,500 current online newspapers, magazines, and scholarly journals.

Need help with research? Can't find the information you need? Stop by the Michener Library Reference Desk for help! No question is too small!

Visit the Information Commons, located on the main level of Michener Library. The Information Commons houses 75 computers for student use, which includes Internet access and publishing software such as Word and Powerpoint. Also visit the coffee cart for drinks and snacks throughout the day!
