About Me

*UPDATED* I'm a SoCal girl now living in north Texas. Life has slowed down a notch, you could say. But it is quite fun and looking forward to what we hope are many unique opportunities here. Well, my time revolves around the two men in my life: my hot husband Steve, and my crazy 9 year-old Samuel. They keep me busy and totally make life worth-while. We love to travel and do all kinds of things together as a family. And if you've ever seen that show King of Queens, that basically embodies Steve and me. LOL But wait, I've got a life too y'know! I'm not your average female who loves to shop and do girly things. I drink beer, watch a lot of sports, swear like a sailor, and on occasion I consume great quantities of food. And yet there are times when I love to dress up, wear fishnet stockings for my man with a fabulous pair of high heels, or sport the latest designer handbag.First thing you need to know is that I love football. Like, serious football. Not just cuz my husband is watching, or because it's the Super Bowl game, but because I just love football! But when the season is over (and I go into a mildly depressive state, LOL) you can usually find me at home watching baseball (rooting for the L.A. Angels of Anaheim), boxing, and watching NASCAR. Either that or my other passion and obsession: books. I love to read! It's a great distraction from reality; you should try it sometime. But I read too much sometimes, to the point of near-neglect of my boys. I make it up to them though. So yeah, that's me in a nutshell. If there's stuff you're wondering or are curious about still, message me. And finally to quote the amazing Burgundy and Corningstone duo, You stay classy and thanks for stopping by!

My Interests

Reading, laughing at and with my husband, being spontaneous and crazy, sneaking home from work for an afternoon delight, making fun of strangers, cashing in my change at the Coinstar machine when I'm broke, watching football, collecting owl pictures or stuffed animals or anything at all concerning owls, watching NASCAR reallllllly loud, cooking for my boys, and sometimes pretending to be any random dinosaur or Pokémon for my son.NASCAR Rules!

You Are an Orange Margarita
At first glance, you are very unique - but deep down you are still quite a traditionalist.
A margarita may be "too fancy" for you, but you'll never turn a free one down. What Flavor Margarita Are You?My new favorite Texas beer! Grab Life By The Horns..

I'm a proud member of the Unicard! Or am I?

I have a confession to make.  I've never drank more beer than I have here in Texas.  Probably because I never really had a preferred beer of choice.  Sure Bud Light is good, and Co...

Why am I such a hater?

Maybe I just got used to the instant gratification and fast lifestyle of living in L.A. all these years, and that I'm still getting acclimated to being in the DFW metroplex.  That's another thing...

Jack's final journey

I wonder how different the United States would be today had President Kennedy not gotten shot on that November day.  As I stood on the grassy knoll in front of the exact spot where shots rang out...
