About Me

I married my soul mate, and have been blessed with two beautiful children who are the light of my life and reason for breathing. I live in Florida where I have a job but am currently still enjoying maternity leave. Baby Olivia graced us with her presence on August 16th. I am a true southerner by birth, I was born in Starkville, Mississippi, home of the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and love every aspect of being a belle. I hope to one day pass down the trials, tribulations and traditions of being said southern belle to my daughter. I love being a mother more than I ever thought I would and now realize I was born to do just that. However, I'm still finding my way trying to handle the two of them. My hobbies use to include a lot more than currently, but I love animals and singing really loud in my car like a rock star.

My Interests

God. My children, babies and toddlers are VERY interesting. All kinds of animals, exotic places, Nascar racing.

I'd like to meet:

Oprah Winfrey and ask her secret to being a gazillionaire,I would also like to meet a handful of Nascar drivers and ask them for a ride. I would like to meet my great grandparents on both sides and have long conversations about what they learned in life.

Music:

Brad Paisley, Norah Jones, Faith Hill, Nick Lachey, George Straight, Alabama, Nelly Furtado, Prince, Madonna, Nickelback, Latin music with a fun beat, Martina McBride, Keith Urban, The Fray, John Mayer...all kinds obviously, there are many more.

Movies:

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, the Back to the Future Trilogy, Steel Magnolias, Sweet Home Alabama, The Thomas Crown Affair, Doris Day movies, You've Got Mail, Tombstone, Overboard,Pirates of the Carribean, Classic Disney Movies, the list goes on

Television:

Rescue Me, General Hospital, Will & Grace reruns, Fraiser reruns, ER, various programs from the Food Network

Books:

Read? I wish I had time to read real books, I believe reading makes you smarter, but for now I stick to magazines that I can sweep through rather quickly that doesn't involve too much concentration, for the time to change a diaper or look for that special hot wheels car or Thomas the train will never be far away.

Heroes:

My heroes have always been cowboys!

Coming up for air...

Olivia is now a week old and we are home and trying to fit into a new routine.  I am not as sore as I remember with my first baby, but I am as tired.  Even though our son goes to presch...

Baby's on the way...

So, we are now down to counting down the hours until the new baby arrives.  I am bouncing back and forth between states of panic and complete calm.  I am trying not to get too worked up...
