About Me

"When written in Chinese, the word "crisis" is composed of two characters-one represents danger, and the other represents opportunity."
--- John Fitzgerald Kennedy--- I LOVE This quote....only just heard it...Thanks Mandi :) Look her music up in my friends, Mandi Perkins is the name! lol...little publicity there!
My name is Jennifer. I'm 26. I have three children. I married at age 18 and had my first born at 19. I was married for nearly 6 years before my husband was taken away due to a car wreck, September 2006. I still live with this everyday in memories and in our two children we had together. There are always unanswered questions that plague me. And my kids bring up their father all the time, and most of the time to strangers that will stop to say something in the middle of the store...like they just need to talk about it. But it is still hard for me to talk about.
I met my future husband a couple years ago, again! We actually went to school together from the 4th grade to the 10th grade. :) Never thought we'd end up in a relationship :P But it happened, and I find we are perfect for each other. We have a son, Michael, that will be 2 this summer. :)
We bought our home right before Michael was born. It's a cute little pink house sitting right next to a creek. It looks like a doll house! :) I love it, but it feels so small sometimes! Hehe. Three kids take up a lot more room than you'd realize!!!
I like playing games on the computer. I've played World of Warcraft for the past 2 years. I had to give it up recently to be able to spend that extra time with my kids. I'll go back to it one day. Probably when my daughter, Emily, starts kindergarten. :) Just very minimally. I'm enjoying all the extra time I get to share with them since I haven't been playing. :P Sorry Warcraft peeps. I've played Sims Open for Business...and I got addicted to it quick, but I don't play it all the time. Maybe I'll open it up once a week...at the most.
I use to be a country music lovin' gal. But I can't bring myself to listen to it anymore. It seems all the country songs wanna do is dive into your emotions and make you want to cry. So I quit listening to country after Josh died. I've been introduced to music such as Nightwish, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Avenged Sevenfold, and many many more, and I came to realize that I like it alot! Don't know why I never wanted to listen to it before. I guess I really never knew anyone that actually listened to that kind of music around me.
I've changed alot since high school. I used to be a shy, quiet, conservative girl. I didn't speak up alot when I should have. Sometimes I think back to certain things and want to beat myself up over things I should have said or done. But that's how time is. Always going forward and never back. We can't change the past.
I'm more outspoken now, but not overly so. I'm still quiet and reserved when I feel I need to be. But if there's something that I feel like I need to say, I'll just say it. As long as I know it's not going to cause trouble or hurt someone. I'd never hurt someone.
I pride myself on my loyalty, my morality, my trustworthiness. I'm not a liar. I can't stand someone that will lie to someone's face.
I'd like to say that I'm my own person, and in alot of ways I am. But I am also a conformist. I adapt to my surroundings pretty easily. And I hate it when there is something about me people don't like. Most of the time, I'll change it. "Conform" myself to what they would like to see me as. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. But I do have issues where I'll get myself down alot, thinking more about the things that I don't like about myself or harbor on things that I might think people would see wrong with me.
I'd start out telling you my faults before I tell you the positive things. Just to "prepare" myself for any surprises. Oh yea, that too...I'm not much into surprises. :P I'd much much much rather prepare and plan something than to just come right out and do it. Better to be prepared than to lack in something! Yea, I drive myself crazy all the time. :P
Let's see. My quirks.
I'm afraid of the dark. It's too quiet. I have to have a fan on, or something that makes more noise than the noises you hear at night. I drive myself to panic hearing creaks in the floor or an animal outside rustling the leaves. My eyes will play tricks with the shadows in the room when I get sleepy and they want to move around alot. :P
I have nightmares easily. So as much as I'd love to cuddle up on the couch and hunch over into my man's chest during a horror movie, you'll never ever get me to watch one!!! I'll have nightmares for a month, no joking!!! It's not funny either....it might be funny to you but it's serious for me. Something I really don't like about myself, either.
Hmm.....I scratch my head when I'm nervous. Such a bad habit of mine. You'll find me doing this the most during drives into the city. I hate traffic! Any amount of traffic where there are more than 3-4 cars in my sight! Like Birmingham, or Huntsville....sometimes not as bad, Cullman. I can bring myself to a panic attack really fast if I don't just calm myself down, anyway I can. If I could easily walk everywhere I need to go, I would! Screw cars!! :P I just don't want to die in a car wreck. :( This has gotten worse the past couple years....wonder how come??
I don't cuss. I don't like to cuss. I'll avoid this by saying words like "freakin", "daggum it", "dang", you get the picture. SO when I do start cussing, just back off because I have to be pretty upset for me to cuss at you.
I love to cook. :) I like to try new recipes when I can, and when I have the ingredients to work with :P....where money comes into play!... I'd love to have a fresh vegetable garden one day. I want to be able to go down to my garden and pick my veggies for dinner, instead of driving to the store and pick through a measly selection. I'm not much into the flower garden type, mostly because I'm afraid of bees, lol...but I could stomach a couple flower buds from fruit and vegetable plants :)
I want a woodworking shop one day! I'd love to build furniture and art, use my imagination and creativity to make something beautiful and useful! I have no tools of my own right now, and hardly a shed outside (It's full of spiders and I refuse to walk into it!!) But one day I'll be stocked out and living it up in my shop!! I love all the "Do it yourself" projects I see on television and would love to apply myself to make things better. :)
Well, I guess I've covered what I have time to cover for now! I'll reread this once it's up and fix and add things as I go. But for now, this is enough. And pretty much all I have time to write!
Laters!!! :)
