About Me

I'm a simple girl from Montana, yet now I'm living in Little Rock, Arkansas. This probably is a home much better suited for me, considering I'm not much for an oudoors-ey person, and I hate snow/cold. However, I love sunshine and swimming pools! Bring on the heat, Arkansas!
On one hand, I would say that I'm laid-back, and the other, I can be pretty active! How about this: I'm 100% a people person, I love doing fun and random things, I love being busy with things to do and people to see, but I'm not very high-maintenance. My favorite things to do are visit over a cup of coffee or snuggle in and watch a good movie with a Dr. Pepper or cup of coffee.
I love sign language and the Deaf culture- once I start thinking about ASL I can't stop! (My hands don't stop, either) I begin school in the spring of 2011 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to achieve my Bachelor's in Sign Language Interpreting! God really has put the Deaf culture on my heart, and I'm so excited to pursue my new career. I want to use American Sign Language interpreting within schools and community events, but I'm most excited to interpret for church services!
I have a heart for missions and for being active in my church. I've been to Mexico once, and the Czech Republic twice on Mission trips, and I've also made a half-dozen trips to Spokane, WA on service trips. I love helping on worship teams and with childrens' ministry, but my heart's passion is towards high school ministry; even in my preteen years I would say, "If I don't marry a youth pastor, I'll just become one!" However, I was a strange child- I also had the idea that "Kopaka" was a good name for a son... or a daughter! It 'works' both ways! (hahaha...)
