Click the album cover to download Evident Shift came into being when Jamar Dawson (Versetility) and Alec Grainger (Catalyst) began to follow the Lord in His plan for them to make music. The stage name Catalyst comes from the fact that he, Alec, is acting as a catalyst to the work that the Holy Spirit wants to do in the hearts of believers and non-believers alike. The stage name Versetility comes from the fact that Jamar believes that praise and worship should be versatile and that he will do whatever the Lord calls him to do, including laying down a hot VERSE. Catalyst and Versetility both produce and rap. The CD entitled "The Antidote" is meant to be exactly that, an antidote. It is meant to be The Antidote to the Secular Hip Hop culture that so easily ensnares the youth. It is also aiming to provide the youth with an alternative to the secular world view. Evident Shift's aim is to get all those who follow Christ to "SHIFT" from a worldly mindset to one that is centered on Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Because they believe, as their name implies, that the SHIFT from the world to the Lord should be EVIDENT in our lives.
Evident Shift is currently in production of their second album entitled "Cross Examination". Before the full disc is complete, Evident Shift has released a 3 track EP entitled "Examination EP" which is available for digital download!
