I have always said that it's not easy being a Christian, especially in this time that we are living in, but being a Christian is so rewarding that it's worth the slack you get for it! in Luke 6:22 it says " What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man, For Great are your rewards in Heaven". Being a Christian doesnt mean you have to be some Holier than thou prude who can't have any fun, it just means that we have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and we try our best not to be conformed to this world but to be set apart, to try and follow the footsteps of Christ. Our job is to carry on the job of Jesus, which is to spread the good news! Even so, we will never be sinless, we just need to sin less!! Christ knew that we could never be perfect as he was, that was the whole purpose of His precious atonement! You see, when He died on the cross, He died for you and for me, He died to clense us of our sins, so that we can spend eternity with him. Let me ask you... have you ever been so absolutly in love with someone?? to where you just can't get them off your mind, you think about them constantly, you love spending time with them and hate being away from them... that is how Gods love is for us plus some!! we can never understand the full extent of Gods love for us... isn't that comforting, to know that no matter what we look like, what we do, where were at in our life that someone loves us no matter what?? God loves us so much that He gave His one and only Son for us, Jesus Christ, just read John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." Now please remember that Christ was God in the flesh, Human blood, flesh and bone, so his pain is our pain, his hurt is our hurt no difference, Christ endured gouging whips, and crucifixion on a cross. He had the power to remove him self from that situation, it was not the nails that kept him there, it was His love for you and me. Are you a parent?? would you ever sacrifice your child to pay for someones sins?? just think about that. In Romans 5:8 it says "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." It's interesting, I looked up the meaning of Sinners and it stated that sinners are people that sin without repenting to God... so I looked up the meaning of sin and it said sin is a Deliberate disobedience to the known will of God. Everyone is a sinner and needs the Redemption of Jesus! and the good news is, He wants to give it to you... that is His ultimate gift, he is just waiting for you to ask!! To have one moment is his gentle sweet presense, changes a lifetime of hurt and pain. Jesus Loves you, and so badly wants a relationship with you.
