Digital Corruptions have been promoting regular gigs in Sheffield/Chesterfield for over 3 years now, over that period of time working regularly with several venues - The Grapes (Sheffield), The Shakespeare (Sheffield), The Redhouse (Sheffield), The Greenroom (Chesterfield), The Sun Inn (Chesterfield) Marsden Street Live (Chesterfield) and most recently Corporation (Sheffield).
Digital Corruptions promotes experimental events collaborating live music with live/pre-edited visuals which are used as a backdrop during the live music sets. Digital Corruptions promote all styles/genres of music and also try to incorporate other artforms into the events, poetry and comedy.
Digital Corruptions are also the creators/organisers of an annual 5000 capacity festival "Freefest" which takes place in Chesterfield, second Saturday of August. The festival is 100% independent and is also free to enter. The event was launched to give bands from the Midlands specifically Chesterfield/Sheffield a larger platform to expose their craft while simultaneously creating new audiences and diversifying Chesterfield culturally. This year will see some big bands playing the annual event
Just like the regular events Digital Corruptions promotes, the festival is a collaboration event, 2 stages with a huge variation of musical styles interspersed with other artforms, live visuals, short films, poetry, comedy, and animation.
Digital Corruptions Promotions consists of a small crew of dedicated people all with plenty of experience making them reliable as an indpendent promotions, the team consists of a soundpeople, stage crew, promoters, light crew, designers and promotional distributors.
Digital Corruptions are constantly looking for new bands to work with aswell as VJs, poets, comedians etc.
