there, I'm EdMo Lanier a freelance professional bassist from New Jersey , playing both electric and standup. I've been playing for over 40 years and able to play and read many styles of music. I'm presently based in Tallahassee Florida and available to travel. I've had the pleasure of playing with Nat Adderly, George Benson, Ben Vereen, Chico Mendoza, Nat Phipps and many more. I've performed on cruise ships as part of the back up band for many national artist and as a pit musician for many musicals throughout the country..I'm the founder of Lanier Entertainment Musicians Network..Lanier Entertainment Musicians Network is a progressive and dynamic group, representing a wide variety of entertainers and musicians. I am not an entertainment agent.The emphasis of the company is to provide a broad overview of the many entertainment options and offerings available through our group. We've set up a network and a directory of musicians with various skills and backgrounds to accomidate any request or musical need.

Influences: I was musically influenced by many people in my life, the one that stands out the most is my Dad (saxaphonist) Arnie Lanier. Because of him I was introduced to and able to play with a lot of old school professional musicians who understood the music and the business. People like. Jack McDuff and Jimmy McGriff really taught me how to play the bass even though they played the foot pedals on the B-3 Hammond. I've been blessed to have been surrounded by great musicians throughout my life..................
