Classically trained in piano and drum, Paul has his musical foundation firmly rooted, pushing boundaries is something from an early age with his musical journey starting at the tender age of 9. Fascinated by the momentum and broad range of music in the early 90s through the likes of 808 State, Adamski, Kraftwerk and New Order, his attention soon focused on production and djing.
His musical style borders on many genres encompassing tech-house, electro, prog, breaks, techno and the unclassifiable. This diversity stems from his influences, which includes anyone pushing boundaries and distinct in style.
Among appearances at most venues in Ireland and Northern Ireland, Paul is a co-founder of the highly acclaimed Collective-Music nights in Dublin. Previously Paul hosted the radio spot "Foundation" on Dublins Nova.947, where he showcased some of the biggest talents dance music has to offer. He also writes for Eastern European magazine Beatfactor.net and Irish magazine Slick DJ. A recent article being aclaimed by Gabriel and Dresden as "one of the best they have read". In 2005 he featured on Slackers' JukeBoxintheSky website marking him as one to watch.
His production career both under his own name and with Adrian de Cleir as Prior & De Cleir has seen tracks featured on the Dublic Electronic Arts Festival (DEAF) compilations in 05 and 06. His first EP entitled "I Am" was well received on both sides of the Atlantic. Their second EP has been snapped up by UK staple Fragile Recordings in addition to two of Pauls track. A second release is forthcoming on US label frik’n’frak and a third on Reticent Recordings. He has also just finished a remix for the acclaimed ascension recordings.
Pauls unique style of upfront forward thinking music added to a gift for scratching, editing and sampling has seen him win many supporters both domestically and further a field. Impossible to compare but only recognize, Paul is most definitely one to watch for the future
