CH - Berne – Banana Hunters present their new album “Peel It”Soul, rock, funk or jazz – Banana Hunters can simply not be pigeonholed. It is this musical freedom that makes the band’s sound so unique. Their album “Peel it” (recorded at Weltschall Studios in 2007) shows the continuation of their distinctive style.In the studio, an album has been created that is full of the band’s delight in playing music and convincing song writing. Some songs might even remind listeners of Jamiroquai’s early albums. Pure music, which hasn’t been colored by electronic effects, is meant to get under the skin. Firm horns section and earthy rock riffs frame the strong and characteristic voice of Renate Scheurer.Paul Mitchell, sound engineer of famous musicians like Randy Crawford or Joe Sample, added the dry but still vital mixes in his studio in Los Angeles (USA). The necessary power in the songs has been supplied by Martin Pearson. The album is distributed by TCB Music SA (The Montreux Jazz Label).The hunters of the tropical fruit have met in urban Berne, the musical melting pot of Switzerland. During the last couple of years they have gained precious live experience through numerous concerts in Switzerland as well as neighboring countries. The renowned Jazz Club Minden (Minden, Germany), Jazz Club Reigen (Vienna, Austria) and Mühle Hunziken (Berne, Switzerland) have been some of their stations.
