Born in Glasgow, Scotland, 4 Feb 1965. The weather was lousy, so I convinced my parents to emigrate to sunny South Africa where I grew up in Johannesburg. Apart from a 3-year stint as a student at UCT (Cape Town), I've stuck it out in Jozi, working as a commercial writer for most of the time, with some time off for bad behaviour. My main passions are music and wildlife. I'm married to Christy. I collect scorpions and play bass - check out the MySpace and facebook sites for Zen Arcade (my previous band) and Doris (my current band). I love traveling to out-of-the-way places and meeting new people.
