..About me: I'm a community advocate in South Dakota. I work in a number of areas, but basically addressing social need & social injustice.I begin a new area of work, beginning April 1st, when I take up the duties of city council woman/town boardmember for our small town.
..
, I like working on family genealogy, as well as gardening, & landscaping. Most of all, I'm a community advocate for those without a voice...be they abused women; abused or neglected kids; abused men or elderly; the poor; or the oppressed.I live in South Dakota with my husband, Eric. Eric is a sculptor who creates unique original sculptures from reclaimed metal & other materials. His work is abstract in its design, but with his own brand of style.I believe in charity without coercion. I believe in charity with dignity. So I was honored to be asked to help develop the Crow Creek Day of Dignity project (formerly known as Humantiarian Day). One of my main focuses in community service work is the Crow Creek Sioux reservation. I'm only one person, but I try my best to use my time to network with others who may be able to collaborate in such a way as to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need. Not something glamorous, but worthwhile, none the same.
