Mie Shirakawa

Mie Shirakawa was born in Osaka,Japan and started singing as rock singer at her high school days.
In 1981-Her rock band named Peanuts Barrel entered the final stage of the legend " YAMAHA 8・8 Rock day band contest"
In 1984-She entered the YAMANO big band contest as the singer of the Osaka university New Wave Jazz Orchestra and won the excellent soloist prize.
Also, she started her career as a Jazz singer at the Jazz spot.
In 1993- She moved to Tronto,Canada and had lived almost 5years in Mississauga.
In 1993-She entered the Monterey Jazz Festival in U.S.A as the singer of the Field Holler Jazz Orchestra.
In 1998-After her coming back to Osaka,Japan ,she joined the blues band named "Kouzenji Bombers". (The Bombers has continued the blues gig every first Saturday night at "atorie" at Kozenji since then for ten years.)
In 2003-She recorded the live performance with the United Jazz Orchestra and released the compact disc " New Cinema Paradise".
In 2006- She restarted the Jazz live performance in vigor at Jazz spot .
In 2007-With her good-old-friend musicians, she recorded and released her first leader CD album " Soul to Jazz".
At present, she sings Jazz, Blues, Soul and Rock at the Jazz spot with varioius Jazz musicians and also be the singer of the Rest Pops Jazz Orchestra.

1993年~1998年カナダ・トロントに在住、現地ジ ャムセッションに参加
1993年モンタレージャズフェスティバル出演〠ãƒ•ã‚£ãƒ¼ãƒ«ãƒ‰ãƒãƒ©ãƒ¼ã‚¸ãƒ£ã‚ºã‚ªãƒ¼ã‚±ã‚¹ãƒˆãƒ©ã€‘
1998年ブルースバンド【光善寺ボンバーズ】だ«å‚加
2003年【ユナイテッドジャズオーケストラ】だ®ï¼£ï¼¤â€œãƒ‹ãƒ¥ãƒ¼ã‚·ãƒãƒžãƒ‘ラダイス”に参加
2006年ジャズスポットでのライブ活動を再開
2007年11月初リーダーＣＤ“Ｓｏｕｌ　ｔｏ　 Ｊａｚｚ”リリース
現在、トリオやコンボでのジャズスポット出 演とともに、【レストポップスジャズオーケ ストラ】【光善寺ボンバーズ】のメンバーと して、活動している
