The Rave reviews are in after The Mighty Cash Cats' recent "Walk the Line" Coast to Coast tour:
"America's number one Tribute to The Man in Black, Johnny Cash. Their audiences range from teens to seniors." Fairs and Festivals Magazine
"The Mighty Cash Cats is as close as you can get to the real thing, Johnny Cash." Hannah Weist, music critic, Star Tribune
"Fantastic Show!" Jeff Shore, E! Entertainment TV
"Michael J and the Mighty Cash Cats fast paced upbeat Show takes the audience from Johnny's 1950's, 60's, 70's, and 80's hits we all know and love to his final Rick Ruben produced 'American Recordings' including fun Johnny Cash and June Carter duets. Michael J has Johnny's voice and look and Leticia Blumette does a spot on June Carter. Guitarist Craig Newton plays the Luther Perkins guitar licks accurately on his vintage Fender Telecaster. The band has a suberb, tight rhythm section; Kenny Lee Lewis is animated slapping his upright bass and singing the high harmonies and Drummer Steve Ebner is right in the pocket playing Cash's signature 'boom-chicka-boom' train beat. If you are not a Cash fan before their Show, you will be after." Jefferey St John, V Voice
"The Mighty Cash Cats Show was phenomenal! I heard comments over and over how great the Mighty Cash Cats were. It was like we were sent back in time and actually heard and saw Johnny Cash in concert." Joe Burgos, Entertainment Director, Camarillo Fiesta
"The Mighty Cash Cats is the hottest band we have ever sent on Tour. They played to sold out venues and received standing ovations at every show." Mark Davenport, Westlake Events Agency, Los Angeles, CA
"The Mighty Cash Cats Show was the highlight of the 2007 San Diego Oktoberfest." Craig Hooley, Entertainment Coordinator
"Excellent Show. We had to add 200 extra seats. They got a standing ovation. We definitely want them back." Brett Reid, Promoter, Sioux City, Iowa, Convention Center
Wow, we had to add a second show. They sold out the Bismarck Convention Center Quickly. They were kind enough to play several encores. Kat Halstead, Bismarck, ND Promoter
Michael J and The Mighty Cash Cats not only recreate Johnny Cash's music and show accurately, but as fans, honor his spirit and greatness by paying Tribute to the Man in Black without resorting to parody. Their show will take you from Cash's Rockabilly period of the 1950s, including "Get Rhythm," "Big River," and "Walk the Line," 1960s tunes such as "Folsom Prison," "A Boy Named Sue," "Ring of Fire," "Man in Black," and "Cocaine Blues," 1970s hits "Sunday Morning Coming Down," and Daddy Sang Bass.", train songs like "Orange Blossom Special," "Ghost Riders in the Sky" and "16 tons" from the 1980s, Spirituals like "Will the Circle be Unbroken", his comeback 1999 Grammy winner "Solitary Man," right up to his haunting epitaph MTV video of the year and Grammy winner; "Hurt."
