I started out Dj'n around 1992 in the era of the sounds of classic house. I was fortunate to learn on a pair of 1200's since one of my friends cousin is already in the Dj scene (big up B-NICE). His family owned a small Dj company that caters to weddings, banquets and debuts. This gave me the opportunity to not only lift heavy equipment all the time and eat good food. This was the opportunity to learn how to use the equipment, hook them up and set them up. Basically, this is where I learned how to play in front of an audience and I was on my way to play at school dances, basement parties and nightclubs around. One of my favourite first experiences was at my first night club called "Remys" downtown Toronto at the age of 16 playing in a 19+ club. The experience was nerve racking but it was a moment to remember. I ended up playing strictly hiphop, r&b and reggae for awhile since this was the main music that I was playing at the clubs. Later on in that same time I fell into the cult of turntablism and had passion for the cutting edge sounds and followed the progression of its destiny. Scratching, watching videos like Turntable TV, I.T.F, DMC competitions were things that I did within my history. It came to the year 1997 and this is where things really changed.

In the year 1997 I ended at the big parties that Toronto had to offer back in the days like Syrous and Dose. I have heard of Jungle/Drum&bass from friends but yet did I find the interest of it once I heard it through the massive sound systems. I slowed down on partying and started to concentrate on the style and sounds of Drum&bass. I soon ended up having the big hook that grabbed me to having passion for this sound. I started collecting and Dj'n it and understand how to program it. Within that same year I ended up hooking up with Ryan Ruckus from EMPIRE PRODUCTIONS through a good friend TONES and since then history was in the making. EMPIRE PRODUCTIONS was at its early stages and just introduced from the original plans of Ryan Ruckus but soon enough we all played key roles as a team to build the company. We all had the same interests of what we were doing not just for money or for the company but the opportunity to have fun and just get involved in Drum and Bass. We have been through a lot of parties within our time and I was labelled as a resident DJ for EMPIRE PRODUCTIONS/SYSTEMSOUND BAR-BODYROC/LOOSE and a key member of its history and establishment. Parties thrown by EMPIRE PRODUCTIONS such as SOUNDCLASH, PLANETBASS, DROPPIN BEATS, ONE SOUND and weekly events at SYSTEM SOUNDBAR known as BODYROC & LOOSE. I was a resident DJ at CHIN radio 100.7FM "JUNGLE AIRWAVES" with host EASYRUSH on Monday nights. I also participated the beginning of HUSTLIN BEATS with Ryan Ruckus and MC Fearless from UK. I ended up spending more time in the studio and less time out to establish more things to say and achieve. I can't get the DnB out of me, it's going 6ft under with me!! Keep pushin the beats!!
