Josh Skinner was born in San Dimas, California and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. His career in show business began when he was eleven years old and was hired to host a children's radio show. The gig lasted three years. While in Hawaii, Josh also appeared on the TV series, Byrds of Paradise and Fantasy Island, and modeled for Bebe Sport.
Josh moved to Los Angeles in 1999 to work for Walt Disney Entertainment Productions. While earning a B.A. in Radio, Television, and Film from Biola University, Josh performed at Disneyland and the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.
His television appearances include Live Like a Star with Ryan Seacrest (Fox), Knock First: Celebrity Edition (ABC Family), Weddings Altered (Style), and Cinemania (AMC). He produced and costarred in the short film Rules of the Game with Oscar nominee Bruce Davison, and played a supporting role in the feature film Confession starring Chris Pine and Tom Bosley.
As a lyricist, Josh has written with jazz artist Dave Koz (Capitol Records), Kimberley Locke (Curb Records), Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees), Michael Orland (American Idol), Will Wheaton, Mike Farrell (Morrissey/Macy Gray), Cassie Simone, Eddie K. and Ted Perlman. Josh recently co-wrote the debut solo album of Sara Lumholdt of the international pop group A*Teens. Their first single "First" is currently available on iTunes. He is currently writing with Spanish super star Alessandra Rosaldo on her eleventh studio album but first album in English.
