Band Members: JOHNNY MUTT (Mutt in Chief) Bass, Guitar, Keys, lead and back up vocals. Composer/Writer. Mutt of all trades, master of none. Johnny picked up his first guitar in 1967, began playing the three chords he learned in a gargeband with a group of local miscreant teens who lived in the neighborhood. It all went downhill after that. And so 40 some odd years later having played in countless no name original and cover bands all up and down the East Coast of America... He finally ended up in North Texas due to the "Tumbleweed Effect" as a result of having been BLOWN out of Florida by unusually high winds associated with a couple of really nasty Hurricanes a few years ago. Unfortunately for y'all, his instruments and equipment survived the blast... and so some of the most recent doodlings and musical madness are posted as samples here on the Euro-Mutts myspace page."
MAJOR TOM (Tom Jay) Lewisville, TX. Keyboards, Bass, Drums, Vocals. As many kids do, Tom started with piano lessons at an early age. But, recognizing that practicing scales and Tchaikovsky could only lead to tuxedos and the Van Cliburn competition he made a break for the world of rock-n-roll before it was too late. Living by the philosophy that playing several instruments ok makes up for being really good with one he learned drums and percussion for high school band, then taught himself bass and was in several cover bands during his college years. A long stint working for Uncle Sam throughout the 90’s kept him from the music scene, but the embers still burned and he emerged ready to make up for that lost time. Now, nearly hidden away behind miles of cable and towers of circuit boards, he provides an electronic pulse for the Mutt’s music.
Chris McCandless, Vocals, from Aubrey, TX. Affectionately known as "Turtle" by his friends, Chris has joined up with the North Texas Crew of the Euro-Mutts, bringing a new dimension to the music with his distinct Texas drawl and general leanings towards singing country-style music. Chris is singing on the new Girl For Me, check it out.
Bob "Ozzy" Oswald, from Thackerville, OK... plays guitar, bass, drums and sings, and if ya go to the music sampler, you may find a montage of his individual sample stuff... Bob plays with a band based out of Gainesville TX called Swamp Birth, but somehow has found time to mess around with Euro-Mutt music... His past credits are many, if they got listed here, there would be no room left in the band member section of the Mutt page. Suffice it to say Bob has something to contribute... stay tuned.
P-MUTT (Paul Wakefield) Lewisville TX, Guitar, Vocals, Drums, Songwriter. PAUL is a multi-talented British Invader, originally from Claygate England... He came to the US a long time ago, became a RABID Dallas Cowboys Fan and as a result, JUST wouldn't leave... He became a citizen of the United States by pleading his case, that Dallas Cowboy Games were not televised in Britain, and that it would be cruel and unusual punishment to send him back... So based upon that argument, the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service granted his Petition for Citizenship. Anywayz, Paul has played music with the Mutts, but now is involed in his own SOLO project, and besides spanking the Stratocaster ocassionallly, is still chasing a career in Corporate America, paying a mortgage and raising a family and, of course, beating the wife and kids on a regular basis. (JUST kiddin) LOL!
Cyber- DRUMMER: Steve "BUCKET" Milam, from Gainesville TX, who now lives in Hollywood, California, ... Steve has played the drums on a number of Euro-Mutt originals, including "Long Way Home". He was back in Texas for a while among the North Texas Crew working in the studio after an extensive "tour" around the US. But he was "called" to go to CA in April 08. Bye Bye Bucket, you will be missed! Y'all go check out Bucket's personal page and listen to his composition (filk) called Born to Farm... it is worth the listen and definitely a HOOT!
GREG MENTA, Vocalist (and lyricist) from Denison, TX. Greg comes from a musically inclined family and has been around music all of his life. He likes to sing anything from Classic and Southern Rock and Country, to Jazzy stuff, Blues and (yes) even Sappy Love Songs... Greg has spent a lot of time on stages, big and small all around North and Central Texas. Sometimes he even comes around and sings with the Mutts (on rare occassions)
LEIGH ANN ADAMS, Vocalist, from Coppell, Tx. who started her singing career in her church and school choirs. However from the tender age of 18 she began to run rampant, singing and playing her guitar 20 minutes at a time, during House Band breaks at local clubs! Her career continued on at a brisk pace as she sang her way to fame and fortune (free beer and peanuts) with numerous bands such as Pound Salt, Dead Ringer, The Saints, Night Shift and most recently, the Booster Cables. Leigh Ann succumbed to the call of "Black Velvet and Rhinestones" as she even did a stretch as a back up singer for a local Elvis Impersonator. Rumor has it, at one point in her illustrious career, she got her hands on a karaoke rig and was determined to show the local howler monkeys how to actually sing all their favorite songs at parties, local clubs, fund raisers, weddings (and funerals?) OH MY! No doubt, we have a LIVE one here folks! Now if we could just get her to show up and sing now and then (???)
MORRIS TAYLOR, Guitar, from Denton TX. Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. Like many Mutts, he started at an early age teaching himself to play and now some 30 odd Earth years later, his skills are light years apart from those humble beginnings. We are convinced that Morris has "Visions" that are expressed in various musical styles of Rock, Jazz, Blues and Easy Listening. Music is in his blood. At one time in his life, he served in the U.S. Navy and Air Force. Would that make Morris an Air-headed ol' Sea Dog? Morris wrote and sang the lrics for "Long Way Home". Check out Morris' personal site, he and the Cosmic Brains are gonna go places
SUMMER RUSSELL, Ft. Worth area, Summer is best decribed as a six-string songbird. She is singer, songwriter, guitar player. Stay tuned for some of her original compositions to be recorded for your listening pleasure.
Terry "SPUTZ" Thompson, Drummer & Vocals. "Sputz", as his friends call him, recently relocated to Argylle, Tx from Ardmore, OK and has now hooked up with the Euro-Mutts. He brings 30 years of playing live shows, recording, touring experience and extraordinary talent to the mix

Scott began playing drums at the tender age of 11 in the school band and has played live performances for the most part for the 19 years ever since . Reliable sources indicate, that even though numerous attempts have been made during his career, NO ONE has been able to wrestle the drum sticks away from him yet. He also has been known to play some guitar and bass.
