THE EURO-MUTTS, just your above-average gang of old geeeeeezers who have played Rock n Roll for 40 years, and have seen things (we shouldn't have), done things (we shouldn't have), got the TEE-shirts (we deserved) and lived thru times (Fire-Fights in foreign countries for example) when most of you people reading this blather were not even born yet....
We are Rocker Spawn of a place and a time which is nothing more than a memory in the minds of most Baby Boomerz these days... Euro-Mutts still rock NOW because... AFTER we lost ourselves for a time in the Rock n Roll wannabee madness, then the Corporate Ladder Climbing Madness and then the excesses commonly associated with the pursuit of the Almighty Dollar and "keeping up with the Jones'"... which, netted nothing but a bunch of STUFF, and of course, nearly sucked our souls dry in the process.... The WORLD, chewed us up and spit us out and pretty much left us for dead... Seemingly useless... Mysteriously, WE once again drew the Breath of FREEDOM to ROCK!
So, one day whilst laying in a ditch on the side of Life's Highway... We (at different times, not all at once, HA!) sighed a deep sigh, and said... WTF? Why not be who we are... who we were born to be, not who we were forced to be, but rather who we once were... who we always wanted to be.... RAWKERS!

AND SO, here we are... As good as we have never been... better than we ever were.
(So NOW) We are definitely and continually seeking out artists and musicians who want to participate in ongoing recording activities. Piano, Keyboards, Violin/fiddle, mandolin, various percussion, pipers, flute, as well as ODD and STRANGE instruments... singers male and female.
Film Producers (amature and professional), Directors and Music Directors are encouraged to make contact to obtain and or procure Original Soundtrack material. We have a small stock pile of original music available for immediate delivery, OR We will CUSTOM BUILD music for your current project, or your next project, AND DELIVER ON TIME!.
Sound Engineers, Producers and Recording Professionals are encouraged to make contact. Please check in with us at: The Euro-Mutts myspace page: www.myspace.com/thecelticeuromutts or at www.bandmix.com/the_euro_mutts
We also work long distance with players and musicians around the World via CyberSpace...
The Euro-Mutts are currently seeking: Male and Female singers (World-wide) and a variety of musicians who wish to participate in a series of ALL original "Various Artists" Albums (various genres). MAYBE YOU have only one original tune that you have written and can competently perform, and you want the World to hear it and know about it... BUT you have no band, and no way to make a recording... Well maybe the Mutts are the answer... Do your song with us, we will be your band and we will help ya get a DEMO recording made, AND MAYBE, even get it on one of our upcoming Various Artists Albums for distribution. SEE! There is HOPE for you Wannabees! Inquire within...
AND YES!!! We are STILL currently seeking additional local, DFW and North Texas area Singers and Musicians who may possibly become core members of the Euro-Mutts... and who will assist in the composing and arranging of new material for both recordings, session work and occassional live performances.
NEWS FLASH! **** We are in the process of building a facility at Friendship Ranch, near Walnut Bend, Texas to accomodate the ongoing Euro-Mutt jams, get-to-gethers and recording sessions. YEP! Acres and acres of rolling hills, lush green pastures, Oaks, Mountain Cedars and cool quiet woodlands... Pool, Hot Tub, Rustic Old West Accomodations (under construction)... Fresh air, bright stars at night and PLENTY to EAT from Miss Kathy Kay's Kitchen, and lots of good Old Texas-style Hospitality! It don't get no better than this folks! We invite qualified, experienced players to inquire as to how to become a part of this ongoing Euro-Mutt and Mutt-a-sociate activity.
RAWK ON!

Band Members: JOHNNY MUTT (Mutt in Chief) Bass, Guitar, Keys, lead and back up vocals. Composer/Writer. Mutt of all trades, master of none. Johnny picked up his first guitar in 1967, began playing the three chords he learned in a gargeband with a group of local miscreant teens who lived in the neighborhood. It all went downhill after that. And so 40 some odd years later having played in countless no name original and cover bands all up and down the East Coast of America... He finally ended up in North Texas due to the "Tumbleweed Effect" as a result of having been BLOWN out of Florida by unusually high winds associated with a couple of really nasty Hurricanes a few years ago. Unfortunately for y'all, his instruments and equipment survived the blast... and so some of the most recent doodlings and musical madness are posted as samples here on the Euro-Mutts myspace page."
MAJOR TOM (Tom Jay) Lewisville, TX. Keyboards, Bass, Drums, Vocals. As many kids do, Tom started with piano lessons at an early age. But, recognizing that practicing scales and Tchaikovsky could only lead to tuxedos and the Van Cliburn competition he made a break for the world of rock-n-roll before it was too late. Living by the philosophy that playing several instruments ok makes up for being really good with one he learned drums and percussion for high school band, then taught himself bass and was in several cover bands during his college years. A long stint working for Uncle Sam throughout the 90’s kept him from the music scene, but the embers still burned and he emerged ready to make up for that lost time. Now, nearly hidden away behind miles of cable and towers of circuit boards, he provides an electronic pulse for the Mutt’s music.
Chris McCandless, Vocals, from Aubrey, TX. Affectionately known as "Turtle" by his friends, Chris has joined up with the North Texas Crew of the Euro-Mutts, bringing a new dimension to the music with his distinct Texas drawl and general leanings towards singing country-style music. Chris is singing on the new Girl For Me, check it out.
Bob "Ozzy" Oswald, from Thackerville, OK... plays guitar, bass, drums and sings, and if ya go to the music sampler, you may find a montage of his individual sample stuff... Bob plays with a band based out of Gainesville TX called Swamp Birth, but somehow has found time to mess around with Euro-Mutt music... His past credits are many, if they got listed here, there would be no room left in the band member section of the Mutt page. Suffice it to say Bob has something to contribute... stay tuned.

P-MUTT (Paul Wakefield) Lewisville TX, Guitar, Vocals, Drums, Songwriter. PAUL is a multi-talented British Invader, originally from Claygate England... He came to the US a long time ago, became a RABID Dallas Cowboys Fan and as a result, JUST wouldn't leave... He became a citizen of the United States by pleading his case, that Dallas Cowboy Games were not televised in Britain, and that it would be cruel and unusual punishment to send him back... So based upon that argument, the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service granted his Petition for Citizenship. Anywayz, Paul has played music with the Mutts, but now is involed in his own SOLO project, and besides spanking the Stratocaster ocassionallly, is still chasing a career in Corporate America, paying a mortgage and raising a family and, of course, beating the wife and kids on a regular basis. (JUST kiddin) LOL!
Cyber- DRUMMER: Steve "BUCKET" Milam, from Gainesville TX, who now lives in Hollywood, California, ... Steve has played the drums on a number of Euro-Mutt originals, including "Long Way Home". He was back in Texas for a while among the North Texas Crew working in the studio after an extensive "tour" around the US. But he was "called" to go to CA in April 08. Bye Bye Bucket, you will be missed! Y'all go check out Bucket's personal page and listen to his composition (filk) called Born to Farm... it is worth the listen and definitely a HOOT!
GREG MENTA, Vocalist (and lyricist) from Denison, TX. Greg comes from a musically inclined family and has been around music all of his life. He likes to sing anything from Classic and Southern Rock and Country, to Jazzy stuff, Blues and (yes) even Sappy Love Songs... Greg has spent a lot of time on stages, big and small all around North and Central Texas. Sometimes he even comes around and sings with the Mutts (on rare occassions)
LEIGH ANN ADAMS, Vocalist, from Coppell, Tx. who started her singing career in her church and school choirs. However from the tender age of 18 she began to run rampant, singing and playing her guitar 20 minutes at a time, during House Band breaks at local clubs! Her career continued on at a brisk pace as she sang her way to fame and fortune (free beer and peanuts) with numerous bands such as Pound Salt, Dead Ringer, The Saints, Night Shift and most recently, the Booster Cables. Leigh Ann succumbed to the call of "Black Velvet and Rhinestones" as she even did a stretch as a back up singer for a local Elvis Impersonator. Rumor has it, at one point in her illustrious career, she got her hands on a karaoke rig and was determined to show the local howler monkeys how to actually sing all their favorite songs at parties, local clubs, fund raisers, weddings (and funerals?) OH MY! No doubt, we have a LIVE one here folks! Now if we could just get her to show up and sing now and then (???)
MORRIS TAYLOR, Guitar, from Denton TX. Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. Like many Mutts, he started at an early age teaching himself to play and now some 30 odd Earth years later, his skills are light years apart from those humble beginnings. We are convinced that Morris has "Visions" that are expressed in various musical styles of Rock, Jazz, Blues and Easy Listening. Music is in his blood. At one time in his life, he served in the U.S. Navy and Air Force. Would that make Morris an Air-headed ol' Sea Dog? Morris wrote and sang the lrics for "Long Way Home". Check out Morris' personal site, he and the Cosmic Brains are gonna go places
SUMMER RUSSELL, Ft. Worth area, Summer is best decribed as a six-string songbird. She is singer, songwriter, guitar player. Stay tuned for some of her original compositions to be recorded for your listening pleasure.
Terry "SPUTZ" Thompson, Drummer & Vocals. "Sputz", as his friends call him, recently relocated to Argylle, Tx from Ardmore, OK and has now hooked up with the Euro-Mutts. He brings 30 years of playing live shows, recording, touring experience and extraordinary talent to the mix
Nation-wide MUTT-A-SOCIATES:
DAVE SKYDOG VAN-MUTT (David Van Sise) of Seminole FL, that's right FLORIDA... argh! Lucky bastige... Dave is a LONG TIME FRIEND and collaborating Mutt. He is a singer, songwriter and guitar player. Y'all hang loose, Mutts will be bringing out some of Dave's original tunes sooner than you think...
CYBER-MUTT: John Holshouser, from Oklahoma City, OK, John is a fabulous Guitar Soloist, who plays great tunes, has a style of his own and is contributing quite a bit to the Stock Library... Hopefully we will get him down to Texas soon to JAM with the North Texas Crew at the Ranch!
CYBER-MUTT: Adam "PIPES" Tianello, from NY state, Highland Bagpipes... YEP! You read right... bagpies. Adam is helping fill up the Stock Library with a number of Traditional Celtic style tunes as well as original compositions. We hope to feature Adam at some point playing his pipes on Euro-Mutt originals of the Celtic Flavor.
COLLABORATING MUTT: Bern "Katphish" Walters, Indiannapolis, IN... Katphish wrote lyrics for: Walk Out That Door, Take a moment and go check out Katphish and Da Bottomfeeders (Da Phish Tank) here on myspace and enjoy their unique brand of ballsy, bluzy, fishy music!
CYBER-MUTT: Scott Garrett, Drummer, from Northern California USA! Currently, calmly and methodically working on several Euro-Mutt song projects via internet. Scott began playing drums at the tender age of 11 in the school band and has played live performances for the most part for the 19 years ever since . Reliable sources indicate, that even though numerous attempts have been made during his career, NO ONE has been able to wrestle the drum sticks away from him yet. He also has been known to play some guitar and bass.
COLLABORATING MUTT: Heather "Imaginary Carnary" Rainey, San Francisco, CA... Heather is a poetess and a lyricist and she has contributed the lyrics to section one of the Untitle Celtic tune, which is currently under construction.
Collaborating FRIEND of the Euro-Mutts: Stevie K, Bass Guitar, from the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, a real Dirt Water Dog if there ever was one!
