Now 22 years old, Christine Ofrecio has been performing in some way, shape, or form for nearly her entire life. Christine first discovered her talent and love for music while singing in her local church choir and taking parts in various musicals as a child. She soon began writing her own songs and learning to play both guitar and piano in addition to performing in high school musicals and reciting the national anthem at venues around the Bay Area. After graduating from high school in 2004, Christine moved to southern California to attend UC Irvine and continue her pursuit of music. She is now a skilled vocalist and multi-instrument performer, constantly writing, playing, and recording her songs on both guitar and piano. Last year alone, she sang at some of the biggest venues in Orange County, including the Bren Events Center at UC Irvine. She has also appeared in the Orange County Register for her open mic performances and played as a featured artist at the Gypsy Den in Santa Ana and Cornerstone Cafe, where she set up weekly on-campus concerts throughout last year.In addition to her work as a solo artist and her roles in assorted musicals and productions, Christine has also gained much experience singing the national anthem, having performed at numerous venues including: City sponsored Fourth of July fireworks shows (Foster City, CA), various UC Irvine sporting events, football games and assemblies while attending San Mateo High School, etc.Christine recently released her first CD, "Take A While", which is for sale now!
