Fire in My Bag

About Me

"A screaming comes across the club..."
We are Fire in My Bag. We have fire in our bag.
Fire in My Bag is the last vestige of a noise band from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan called the nurses. John Fante, leader of the nurses, insisted from his death bed that Fire in My Bag continue the work the nurses had started in 1992.
Fire in My Bag has not publically revealed what that work was/is. They may yet.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Fire in My Bag is:
The Crypt Orchid on guitar, vocals, and other things.
Mike Dangerous from Bob and the Dangerous Brothers on drums.
Moldy Tapes on noises, keyboards, production, and lighting design.
Sounds Like: Really loud music to be listened to quietly, or really quiet music to be listened to really loud. One of the two. Or a little of both. Your choice.
I believe, if we were to locate precisely where we stand in the multi-circled venn diagram of contemporary metal, we are a Blackened Suicidal Funeral Drone Metal band.
Yeah, that sounds about right.
Fire in My Bag is in no way related to the Southern California Ska band Fire in My Baggie Shorts.
We are in the process of finding an all-girl Fire in My Bag tribute band called Fire in My Bag Lady. (M.A.D., I'm looking in your direction...)
We are also adding a bagpipe player to the regular line-up and starting a whole new musical movement, Hobbit Metal, for a side project we will call Fire in My Baggins.
Type of Label: Major

"Hush, My..."

Pynchon

Fire in My Bag would like to state, for the record, that there is no truth to the rumor that we are actually a band created by Thomas Pynchon in a fit of inebriated creative glee. Fire in My Bag loves...
