I am here for Friends

About Me

There are lots of really exciting things about me. Um...I have a cockatiel named Peeps. I lived in Europe for 7 years. I won twice on Jeopardy. I like to siiiiiiiing. I'm sort of a jokester. I hate housework, but I do it a lot. I like lilacs and hydrangeas...oh, and peonies smell good. I'm flawed...nearly cracked, but not quite. I rescued my car from the pound. Nothing makes me laugh as much as kids' natural behavior. I have an affinity for sweatshirts. I collect purses (old ones, quirky ones) and decorative biscuit tins. I worked for 5 years at the front desk of the trauma center, and boy, do I have some stories. Despite working 5 years at the front desk of the trauma center, I feel as Anne Frank does...that most people are good, really. ..

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet people. The occasional fictional character is ok, too, but I'm not here to collect friends just for the sake of it. I try to make an effort to communicate with my Myspace friends. Sometimes I get mercenary and delete people who never make any effort. Except the bands or folks I add knowing full well that they are WAY too busy to ever comment me. I'm sorry if that sounds rude, or anything...I'm just being honest. If you want to friend request me, it's GOOD if you are fully clothed. Just sayin, Budweiser guy.

My Blog

This is a regional specialty.  Actually, it's kind of obscure...even here.  There is ONE place to get the good stuff.  Supposedly it's Swedish, but I have some Swedo-genes and I've been to Sweden and ...

I really hope that Steven Wright doesn't cuss on Ferguson tonight.

You know how Craig's been whining about being bleeped and pixillated?  Well, I sent him an email awhile back and told him to stop complaining.  I pointed out that Steven Wright doesn't have to cuss in...

Be a good little soldier and wish me dead.

"Look, what he's talking about is the absorption of as much of the private sector by the US government as possible, from the banking business, to the mortgage industry, the automobile business, to hea...

"In" joke. Join me.

Someone at the grocery store has a wicked sense of humor.  We have one of the all-purpose joints, you know, with the bank and the restaurant and the photoshop and the florist.  Well, I was looking at ...

New name in honor of this evening....

On the way home in the car, I remarked at the beautiful sunset.  The thing I love about skies, particularly at the eventful times are that they are art in motion.  You think the colors are lovely, and...

Today...
