SCAPEGOAT

Despite their young age, SCAPEGOAT have quickly developed a name for themselves in the Dublin Underground Music Scene. Spawned by school-friends Alan Kavanagh and Ben Moloney following a high school battle of the bands, the duo set about creating an energetic, aggressive, emotional sound, while also maintaining a melodic, unique and raw edge.
They teamed up with drummer Daragh Mayon and Ben's younger brother Mike, who quickly developed a dynamic relationship as the quartet's creative core combining captivating melodies with heavy, thunderous guitar riffs. This, coupled with Mike's thumping bass lines and Daragh's dynamic drumming laid a solid foundation for Alan's wrenching vocals, who writes honest, unique lyrics that matter to everyone. In order for Alan to reach his vocal potential, the foursome began searching for a guitarist to alleviate him. They found everything they were looking for and more in the form of fellow townsman Danny McDermott.
Combined, these five young friends create a layered, textured sound, which ebbs and flows and captivates the listener. SCAPEGOAT are an ambitious, youthful and energetic group who have an amazing amount of potential.
