Lover of the Keys (Natasha Puckett) Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago in 1985. At the age of 8, I began playing the piano and composing songs. I never once pursued piano lessons; everything I learned was self taught by consistent hardwork. I grew up listening to old school, jazz, and gospel and always mimicked whatever I heard on the radio or at home. At the age of 11 years-old I entered my first talent show and loved the rush I got while I was on stage, so I entered show after show just to play my keyboard. Soon after I wrote my first song entitled "Melody Sunshine". When I reached the age of 13 I began to realize that I wasn't your average gal; I was different. While most of the other girls my age wanted a boyfriend, I wanted a girlfriend. Once I came to grips with my sexuality I decided to embrace my love for women through my singing and songwriting. Through my high school years is when I fell in love with the smooth sounds of R&B and began writing about women who loved women. Not afraid or unashamed; I speak my mind by putting pen to the paper, fingers to the keys, and vocals to the lyrics about the joys of love that a woman can have for another woman. Today I compose and arrange all of my own tracks, as well as the tracks of other artist. I've been playing the piano for over thirteen years and has not had any professional training at all, and I feel like a true musical genius; which I consider a gift from God. In all, I introduce you to a producer, singer, and songwriter with a sound that is a combination of Jazz, R&B, and Neo- Soul. My style is different from most, and it is one that is sure to catch the eye and certainly please the ear......so please enjoy yourself.
