About Me

NOW ON itunes!! Just click here to take you straight there:
..
MY MUSIC: is a bit like me trying to decide between two pairs of shoes, in the end, I can't make a decision so I buy them both!
MY BACKGROUND: I have always had an interest in writing and singing but only recently made something out of the former. Prior to that I have been singing in a band for four years called 'Deja Vu', performing songs throughout the eras from the 1940's to the present day. Recently I left Deja Vu to join a theatre tour 'Thank You for the Music' playing Frida, touring across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. With all the travel it's kept me so busy that I've not had many opportunities to continue with the song writing, but I have plenty of songs stored up just waiting to be recorded, so watch this space for new material!
BOOK THIS SINGER:
As well as being available to sing my own music, I have a separate 'cabaret' site, from which I can be booked for functions etc. For more details and cover samples please visit: www.myspace.com/amandareillyvocalist
WHO I'D LIKE TO MEET: Anyone creative, driven and intelligent who wants to make the most of the good things in the world.
I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.amandareilly.co.uk
Band Members: Just little old me - No band to speak of but I'd love to hear from anyone in the South East who's interested in forming one! On my tracks I 'borrowed' and had the privilege of working with some very talented musicians - Thanks very much to Adam Ellis at Deadline Studio's for doing such a great job with engineering on the songs: www.deadlinestudios.co.uk and to Tim Brown the drummer, Andy Robertson the keyboard and bass player and Chris Conway multi musician extraordinaire on keyboard and Theremin! www.chrisconway.org.

Thanks also to Ian Stobie for the photographs: www.afterimages.org.uk
Influences: Not sure which bands are directly reflected within my songs but I like the following bands/singers (in no particular order) - Sheryl Crowe, Republica, Travis, Hole, Sleeper, Stereophonics, Gene, Morcheeba, Zero 7, Aimee Mann, Turin Brakes, The Cure, Lily Allen, The Cardigans, The Zutons, The Coral, I Am Kloot, Athlete, Embrace, Snow Patrol, Eva Cassidy, Narina Pallot, Nouvelle Vogue, Razorlight, etc. etc. etc.
Sounds Like: 'Kirsty MacColl' meets 'Sheryl Crowe' meets 'Jewel' meets 'Beautiful South' (not my words!)
