ABOUT FASTLIFE
FAST LIFE is Japan based Indie Label. We are brand new and in the process of setting up and beginning to license great bands from around the world to release to the cool kids in Japan.
Although we are new as a label we do have a wealth of experience. FAST LIFE's owner (lets call him Kuro...its easier to say then his full name) has worked in the music industry in Japan for many years and has for the past few years acted as A&R for major label RADTONE MUSIC as well as being on the Sales and Marketing team for FABTONE RECORDS ,
GOON TRAX , XTAL RECORDS and also working on the team guiding some of Japan’s leading Indie bands careers.
Kuro has , through the years in the industry established a strong network of contacts in the music industry in Japan and beyond , from retailers to press, promoters, radio , TV etc …...he knows them all and FAST LIFE will be utilizing these contacts to give its releases strong promo that will in turn give our releases every possible chance to succeed in Japan
Kuro has also very strong ties with the powerful and highly respected CR JAPAN/INYA FACE (AK3, Set Your Goals, Daphne Loves Derby, The Queers, Better Luck Next Time etc etc etc as well as being FAT WRECK CHORDS exclusive Distributor in Japan) . So strong in fact that CR JAPAN / INYA FACE jumped at the chance to undertake RELEASE SUPPORT (artwork, pressing CDs etc), SALES and DISTRIBUTION on behalf of FAST LIFE , this gives FAST LIFE the strongest Distribution for the fast Punk / HC / Pop Punk genre in Japan.
Our goal is to begin releasing monthly from August 2008, releasing one (or perhaps two per month later on) quality band every month and giving the releases we are honored to undertake every possible chance to reach thier full potential in Japan.
I summary, we are a fledgling label, in the process of setting up but we do have a wealth of experience and are tying up with strong established companies and are confident that in short time we will become a highly respected, ethical label releasing foreign bands in Japan.
