Nakashima Sisters

About Me

We grew up listening to Bluegrass in Japan and started to play in 1986. Our parents taught how to play and we practiced very very hard when we were still in elementary school.
Since then, we performed at many places in Japan. In 1993 and 1994, we even had a chance to perform at IBMA and some places like "Station Inn" and "Down Home".
One of our favorite banjo player and good friend of ours, Alison Brown and Gary West helped making our three albums. It was such a great experience for us to have many great guest musicians such as Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Roland White, Byron House, David Grier, Missy Rains, Alison Brown(and more) on these CDs.
Although Misa's husband, Yohei joined the band few years ago, it is getting hard to get together and play. (everybody lives different places like Hokkaido, Fukuoka and Nashville) However, we keep pickin' with our bluegrass friends in Japan!!!
