I created this page because I wanted you to feel more familiar with James Harris. I felt a desire to talk about him to those who love his songs. I'll be really pleased if the visitors of this site would feel familiar not only with his music but also with himself and come to love his songs more than ever. With the help of all of you, I'd like to make this site fun!

About James Harris:
James Harris is a singer/songwriter from the Black Country (West Midlands, England). He started his music career as lead singer in a 5 piece band called The Soil. Though they only played a small number of gigs, people often commented on their powerful songs and unique sound. After the band split, James decided to pursue a solo career and spent the next few years honing his song writing and singing style.
A year ago he set up a MySpace profile for his music (www.myspace.com/jamesharrisacoustic). Since then his songs have been played on numerous podcasts/radio shows and he has also recently started to perform live. He's become a regular at local open mics with plans to be gigging soon across the country. He is also planning to start gigging in cyberspace (Second Life) in the near future, so as his many friends/fans on MySpace can attend his gigs no matter where they are in the world!
Since joining MySpace he has built up a friends list of over 18,000 people! He has become a very popular artist with the tracks on his page sometimes being played thousands of times a week!
His songs are not only tuneful but poetic and are all the stronger for the fact that he's not affraid to express his vulnerability. With well crafted and poignant songs such as "Grace", "She Frees Me", "Saitama City" and "Sunshine" he is starting to be recognized as an origional and truly impressive singer/songwriter.
