About Me

It all began in 1984 when I started learning how to DJ in my bedroom in DAYTONA BEACH Florida. I had to sit on the floor because I didn't have enough table space for my turntables, but it was cool because the needles didn't skip. I taught myself how to scratch and mix. In 1985 I went to a 2 LIVE CREW concert, got back stage, and after that I went to the hotel to hang out with them. I gave my mix-tape to Luke and he told that it was good, but I needed to be in Miami to make anything happen for real so I decided to make it happen by myself. That same year I went to Atlanta GA for the first time. When I was there I went to a LLCOOL J-FAT BOYS Concert and that's when I met a beautiful young lady named Rozonda Thomas, who later became CHILI from TLC. We kicked it while I was in the ATL and we stayed cool for a minute but lost contact after a couple of years. While I was in the ATL I stayed in East Point with my boy Mike Hood. That same year me and a few of my boys made a group called TELLTYME. We blew the spot at the first BLACK SPRING BREAK which is now Black College Reunion. Because DAYTONA was the Spring Break Spot I had a chance to meet a lot of people in the business, like Queen Latifah, Herbie Luv Bug, and Ed Lover over the next few years. I also went to a lot of functions including the LP release party for 2 LIVE'S "AS NASTY AS THEY WANNA BE" in 1989. I was 19 and that shit was off the chain. Girls getting butt naked on Stage for free. Finally in 1992 we made a record called DS GROOVE, that was produced by RALPH FALCON and that you can still find online. During that period I met a lot of people in the Dance Music arena because our Manger was BILL KELLY who runs the WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE every year in MIAMI. After the run with Bill Kelly, Me and PARADYSE from TELLTYME moved on to live in the ATL. It was my first time living outside of Daytona and it was a great learning experience. We lived in CARTER HALL and had a chance to hang out with some of the ATL talent like, JAMAL from Ileagle, SHADZ of LINGO, ERIC SERMON, and a lot of other peeps down at PEACHTREE MOTORING. That's when The W-30 Click was formed. We made a little noise and a couple of us, CHAIR CRAZY and 3ON, went on to make and distribute cd's. It was 1995 when 3ON was actually formed...by accident. After a freaky night wit a sexy Puerto Rican named UNIQUE, Myself and my boy FOULBALL made a song called I WANT SOME! It was only meant to be a personal joint, but it caught on in the underground so me and my other partner, VILLIN decided to press up some wax, tapes, and cds. We couldn't get any radio play so we just gave it away as promotional material...(to be continued)

Influences: I have a lot of influences because I have an eclectic sense of the world. I like to listen to Soft Jazz music in the late mornings and early afternoons before I go out for the day. I grew up in Florida and I am heavily influenced by the Dirty South deep bass sound. I like the sounds of the 70's, like ABBA and Andy Gibb. These are disco and dance type grooves. I like Carly Simon and her folk lyrics. When I go to the club I like hip hop, R&B. I fucks with R.Kelly and JayZ even though they don't fuck wit each other. I used to Promote club events in LA with ICON Entertainment and I had a chance to meet a lot of producers from the West Coast, like my homie Stan The Guitar Man. You will hear many different elements in my music and it's one reason that I haven't found my niche. I don't have one.
