About Me

MyGen Profile Generator Hi I'm James, I'm a regular guy I guess. I'm from Hull originally but long-term relocated in Manchester.Outside of the routine 9-5 malarkey I write for the music website ManchesterMusic.co.uk and you can find all the reviews and bits and pieces I send their way in my blog section there. Comments and discussion about the same always welcome, especially if you went to any of the live shows in question (or you're a band/artist I've had a pop at - get your own back!) I had a bunch of stuff accepted by Playlouder.com between Feb and Aug 2007, for what that's worth. Also as well as a few established bands/artists you'll find some much lesser-known ones in my friends section (which I'll be switching around frequently to give them all exposure, also for my own benefit as I forget who's in there!), give them a listen if you've the time and inclination, you might just be glad you did.Check out ManchesterMusic.co.uk or the Myspace page for the latest gigs, reviews, interviews and general music news, local to the North West and otherwise.Cheers, James

Steve Albini fields questions on poker forum

Wow. This is an amazing read. It's long and he's in typically acerbic form - some great scathing replies to the silliest and most fawningly sycophantic questions. Well worth a read. Here's the link: A...
