Chika

Chika was born in 1960 in Nagasaki city in south-western Japan.
( A Cancer, Blood-type AB)
She started her music career after she moved to Hiroshima when she was fifteen.
When she was in high school, she was singing at music clubs and school festivals.
After winning The Best Vocalist Award at YAMAHA West Wave and
entering YAMAHA Popular Song Contest Japan Final,
she joined a group called Rice Ball and sang at US Militaly Base in Japan.
Rice Ball performed with Mary Wilson and Supremes at US Base.
She moved to Iwakuni in 1984 and formed a choral group called BABAAZ.
BABAAZ performed at music clubs and various events,
and recorded songs for advertisement.
She started performing as a solo singer in 2004 and released her first solo album,
" Chika 1st".

In 2005 she had her concert tour in Tokyo, Fukuoka and Hiroshima.
She has been collaborating with legendary Mari Kaneko, Katsutoshi Morizono ( a former Yonin-Bayashi) .
She is now working on her second album.

1975年 広島に居住地を移す、
高校時代後半から、ストリート及び各地ライ ブハウス、学園祭等で 音楽活動開始。
YAMAHA WestWave ベストボーカル賞
POPCON つま恋本選大会出場
その後、米軍キャンプ回りのバンド、ライス ボールのボーカルとして参加
メアリーウィルソン&シュプリームス 等と競演。
1984年 岩国に居住地を移す、
1994年 BABAAZ(コーラスグループ)結成。
広島を拠点に、各地ライブハウス、イベント 、ＣＭソング等、精力的に活動。
2004年　ソロとなる。
2005年　ソロアルバム、"Chika1st"発表
参加ミュージシャンに
渡辺建(exプリズム)、雨宮賢明(グッチ裕三& ;グッチーズ)
中野督夫(センチメンタルシティーロマンス)ã €å¤§è¥¿ã€€çœŸ(A、金子マリバンド)等。
同年、レコ発ツアー　東京　広島　博多。
金子マリ、森園勝敏(ex四人囃子)等伝説のミム¥ãƒ¼ã‚¸ã‚·ãƒ£ãƒ³ã¨ã‚³ãƒ©ãƒœã—つつ
独自の音楽観で活動中。
2007年よりセカンドアルバム制作中。
