Saburo Ubukata was born in Tokyo, 1983. he studied composition and electroacoustic music composition in Showa Academia Musicae, and graduated from the department of composition first on the list in 2005.
At attending school, his electroacoustic music work “Critical Point†was selected to highest award at “Contemporary Computer Music Concert 2004†held in Tokyo in Japan and “The Fragment of Grass†was selected to honorable mention at International Acousmatic Music Composition Competition Metamorphoses 2004 held in Brussels in Belgium and was selected as imposed of the Acousmatic Music Spatialized Interpretation Contest Espace du son. And, CDs including the work was published by “Musiques & Recherches†in Belgium and “ACSM116†in Japan.
After it graduate from the university, he started research and composition of interactive performance work with contemporary dance, video and others. Interactive performance work “Resonance†that he had made in collaboration with contemporary dancer was programmed to the dance showcase that “Japan Contemporary Dance Network†held and presented in Sapporo and Fukui in Japan.
November 2006, he get an invitation from Setagaya art museum, and he played multi dimensional sound disign & light live solo perfomance.
And he held kyo-sai-riku-ri music event with other compser since 2007.
