Penta Blazes

In the spring of 2007, Shinya and Rie, playing hard rock in a music club where the genre is persecuted, think of forming a serious rock band.
First, they get together with Kentaro and Yui. They are the chosen few since they are rare rock-lovers in the club.
And then Hirasawa's best friend Daisuke joins the half-formed band as a vocalist.
In the summer of 2007, Pentablazes is born. Shinya and Rie begin to write songs.
In the autumn of 2007, the band gets started on recording and preparation for gigs.
"'Penta'? That sounds like 'penguin!'"
-- The name of their band "Pentablazes" literally means "five fires," but, to Japanese people, its "penta" part sounds as if it's a name of a cartoon character of a penguin.
So the mascot of our band is a penguin named "Penta."
"If you stand still, it's not rock and roll. Musically rocking means physically rocking."
-- The music club they once belonged to includes some rock bands, but when the players see others' performance, they stand or sit still with their arms folded all the time, like judges.
They just look at the player's techniques and "evaluate" them. This is far from enjoying music. If it's not enjoyable, it's not rock and roll. Rock and roll is essentially "moving."
They keep in mind that expression should come from rockin' body and soul.
"We want to go on rocking with beautiful melodies."
-- They are influenced by various types of music. They have different tastes in music, from popular music to heavy metal, but have in common love for melodious rock.
There are many things they can do just because they have different tastes.
