His parents came from Amami Oshima.They played folk songs of Amami,traditional dance,etc.They lived in Kanagawa, but they loved culture of Amami.Kengo spent the time in culture of Amami and Tokyo style.His first instrument was a Yamaha “electone” keyboard at the age of 5.He began to playthe electric bass when he became sixteen years old.He played Heavy metal and Hard rock. and began to play progressive rock at the age of 20. Afterwards,He played the music in the bands,funk,jazz, american oldies,etc. At the age of 27, He joined KOENJIHYAKKEI.It made the album,VIVA KOENJI!! in 1997.In 2000,Kengo moved from Tokyo to Okinawa. He played the music with the musician of Okinawa,a lot.
