Born and raised in Aichi, Machaco's musical career began as a singer / DJ for the Dynasty sound system in 1992. Her talent being recognized immediately, she started to record for a variety of producers ever since. Machaco's first big break came in 1996 with "Ghetto Boy" (JAP jam), a song which is still a favorite of reggae fans today. Her follow-up singles, "Melody Life" (Sistren), "Train to Zion" (Sistren) and "Songs of Freedom" (MS Entertainment), also became big hits. In 1995 during her time as a disc jockey of CBC's popular radio program "Denpadelique" she won the Galaxy Award for best radio personality. Machaco is the first and still the only reggae artist to win a Galaxy.
The album, "Love So Divine" (Stars Arena, 2004) which reflects all her musical aspects, has sold well . And a song from the album, "Musical Caravan", which was used by the Meisei Group for a TV commercial, has become a highly recognized local hit.
In 2005, Machaco established her own record label "Melody Life" to pursue the path of self-production work with artists, musicians and engineers in Jamaica. Her first self-produced mini-album "Truly" (2006) was greeted with very favorable reviews.

'90年代初頭に名古屋のサウンドDynastyのイベム³ãƒˆã§ãƒžã‚¤ã‚¯ã‚’握ったのをきっかけに、Triggerã ƒ»Twiggy・Hazuが設立したマイク集団「True voice」を経てGuiding Starに参加。様々なDJコンテストで上位入賞を 果たし、1992年にコロンビア・トライアード゠ˆã‚Šã€æ—¥æœ¬åˆã®Reggae one way album「Hard Man Fi Dead」に「Rebel Against Mi」が収録され、レコーディングデビュー。1 996年には「Jap Jam」からリリースされた「Ghetto Boy」が大ヒット。一躍人気アーティストとし ての地位を確立した。
'97年には東京で行われたフィーメール・アー ティストのイベント「Woman Wi Name」に出演し、以降女性アーティストとしだ¦ã®è‰²å½©ã‚’増していく。'98年に錦communicationsか らリリースされたシングル「Right Trackã€ã§ã¯ãƒ­ãƒƒã‚¯ã‚¹ãƒ†ãƒ‡ã‚£ã®åæ›²ã‚’çˆ½ã‚„ã‹ã«æ ­Œã„上げて新境地を開拓。同年「Sistren」から 出た「Melody Life」は、現在のスタイルに至るきっかけとだªã£ãŸã€‚
2004年にはこれまで築き上げた集大成的アルムãƒ ã€ŒLove So Divine」--Stars Arena--をリリース。音楽ジャンルを超えたアム¼ãƒ†ã‚£ã‚¹ãƒˆã¨ã®ã‚³ãƒ©ãƒœãƒ¬ãƒ¼ã‚·ãƒ§ãƒ³ã‚‚多く、macha coのフレーバーは各方面から注目されている㠀‚2005年には自身のMelody Lifeを立ち上げ、Stephen Stanley、森俊哉、Bongo Hermanらとミニ・アルバム「Truly」をリリース㠀‚そして2008å¹´8月には、Marcia Griffiths、Jr. Kellyらをフィーチャリングアーティストに迎㠁ˆã€2ndフルアルバム「Precious」をUniversalからムªãƒªãƒ¼ã‚¹ã€‚ã‚¸ãƒ£ãƒžã‚¤ã‚«ã®ãƒã‚¤ãƒ–ã‚¹ã‚’è‰¯è³ªãªéŸ³æ¥ ½ã¨ã¨ã‚‚に伝えることのできる、数少ないアム¼ãƒ†ã‚£ã‚¹ãƒˆã®ä¸€äººã§ã‚る。
