About Me

KONANYAKI : In Kaei* 4 (1851), Eiraku Hozen* opened the studio under the support of Enmanin Monzeki Kakujyun Imperial Prince*. He lived in Ohtsu and had many friends in wide social classes. His original patterns and shapes were called as "Konanyaki", "Mi-i-ohama", and "Nagarayama" and lived in praise only for a few years because of his death in 1857. Seigetsu Yamada has brightened the Hozens’ three classes of the art works with his distinguished originality to the 21stcentury . His ceramic art was in its full flower for only a few years. These days, I succeed to his name by a strange coincidence and do my best everyday in Ohtsu .*-.. Kaei ------ 1848~1854 . Eiraku Hozen ------ Artist (ceramic art),1795~1854 .
