About Me

Well, you asked for it, so here goes.My name’s William. I was raised a country loving town-boy in the small town of New Lisbon, Wisconsin, about a hundred meters from a dam on the Lemonweir river. This place would serve as a sanctuary at which to sort my thoughts, reflect on personal accomplishments, lack thereof, and goals I would set for myself. Much of my life’s influence has been guided by my love for nature and my undying, steadfast tendency to question anything unnatural. My current lifestyle, as with all other people I believe, is a conglomeration of ideals, morals, personality traits, customs and other living aspects of all of the people who have had an influential impact on my life. A great deal of the way I live today has been acquired through careful perception and great attention to detail in observance of other people’s mistakes, shortcomings, downfalls and of course, successes. It is my belief that no matter why I was put here, and by what force, I am to do as much good for anything influenced in any way by myself, so that when I have gone from this place, the places I have been, the people I have met etc., will have somewhat improved in ANY aspect for having been influenced by me. I am a pursuer of positive energy. I take pleasure in overanalyzing all I come in contact with in hopes of situational/subjective improvement. Thorough perception is a common goal of my thought process and I believe that a task cannot be properly executed if the intentions of the task are not properly understood. Knowing this, it is also reasonable to believe that true faith cannot be put into something that we cannot thoroughly understand and/or justify. In grade school they called it Attention Deficit Disorder (A.D.D.). After years of self-reflection and contemplation, I decided that maybe it is to be looked upon not as a disorder, but as a different way of looking at things; an altered mindset if you will. For the better part of my elementary and high school my right arm grew tired but never strayed from my intention of asking the first and the last question regarding the subject at hand.Serving with the men and women in the Armed Forces of this country(the United States) has given me many a chance to observe, and therefore many a chance to attempt to correct(though rarely successful). Even with lack of correction comes personal gain in the area of experience. Lessons learned is commonly misunderstood as a term meaning that all of the lessons have to be learned personally and at the hand of the person learning. What I have realized(and I’m sure I’m not the first) is that we gain a small bit more from first hand experience making the mistake in the first place, but learning by observance of other peoples mistakes and poorly planned executions is extremely similar in that the personal gains are almost identical. Therefore, in conclusion of this thought, I feel it is just as good to learn from other people’s mistakes as it is to learn from your own, and dare I mention that there never seems a shortage of either.I have, however, come to the conclusion that I would ill make a good politician, in that the function of my mind does not work as fast as I would sometimes desire it to. In order for me to always have a witty and accurate remark/solution in response to any given inquiry/problem, I must first think it through enough to where I know beyond a doubt that I can truly vouch for my decision. This has, in the past helped me gain a better understanding of everything around me, and I can only hope it continues to do so for years to come.I would think that greater understanding of past, present, and future situations; as well as the same of environment, associated person(s) and intentions, others would proceed to gain the same understanding that I have of all that is in my life.Thank you for reading, and I’ll be posting additions to this given more time to reflect upon and catalogue my thoughts.
