About Me


Hi I'm YUMA.
I was born in LONDON on 1986 November 22th and I grew up in Yokohama,one of the big cities in Japan.I came to JAPAN when i was 4.so don't remember the days in London,but It's my favorite city.My nationality is Japanese.
Shortly after enrolled in my university, I realized that was not what I wanted.I really wanted to persue the music in my head, and I traveled a lot of places such as LosAngeles,Texas,LasVeagas and Portland before I finally found the ideal voice.That was Travis Thornton.So I moved to Portland, the city where he lived and started my new life fron scratch.
Writing songs.That's definitely what I like the most.Catchy and mmemorable melodies pop into me especially when I experienced some big feelings.It's one of the parts in my daily life.
In 2009, I had tour with TravisThornton in Japan and my first album"Mr.Journey" was released.And now I write new material!
Now my album is available on iTunes.
I'm a member of NSAI(The Nashville Songwriters Association International).
I can say I'm a songwriter and not singer.You can see who' singing in my songs by song title.I write all the lyrics and melodies, and play instruments acoustic guitar,electric guitar,bass,piano,synth, and sometimes programming.

１９８６年１１月２２日ロンドン生まれ
４歳のときに帰国、幼少時代はサッカーに明 け暮れる。高校時代にバンドを始めるが大学 進学を決意し、ギターをケースにしまって２ 年間封印。東京大学に入学するも、すぐにこ こは自分の居場所ではないと気付き、それま で好きだったアメリカでの音楽を追求するた め休学。
２年間で１０以上の仕事を休みなしでこなし 、一方理想のボーカリストを探し求めてアメ リカ中をギター１本でまわる。そしてオレゴ ン州で出会ったトラビスソーントンと活動を 共にすることを決め２００８年９月に渡米。
バンドでのレコーディングや自身のデモ制作 では全楽器の自分で演奏するなどマルチな才 能を見せ、またジャンルに関してもロックや ポップはもちろんのことR&Bやフォーク、ム¬ã‚²ã‚¨ã¨æ§˜ã€…な分野の曲作りに定評がある。
そんな彼がこの春、アメリカ人ボーカルのTra visを引き連れてのツアー、そしてアルバム発 売のために一時帰国,ãã—ã¦ã¤ã„ã«ï¼•æœˆï¼‘ï¼“æ— ¥ã«ã‚¢ãƒ«ãƒãƒ ã€ŒMr.Journey」が発売されます！
