HULOT　a.k.a. Hisashi Ito　made his debut with a single 「clouds〠in 1999　on Frankfurt-based Minimal-Click-Tech House Label, Raum...musik. The title track was remixed by Steve Bug, a renowned German Minimal tech-house groove creator. Ito provided a track 「Wood and flower -Tojami Sessions Remix〠for 『raum...musik praesentiert　2ã€,　and 「Colorless Pains〠for 『raum...musik praesentiert　3〠, followed by 「Pink Walls〠on 『Split EPã€. A German label BELOW also had a love for Ito’s music and put out a single 「house75ã€.
Back to the Japanese scene, his tracks 「Modern Living〠and 「Play Time〠appeared on 『U.S.B. -United Sounds of Blue-〠2001, 「Casa〠on 『U.S.B. 2 Tech Housing〠2003 under the name of HULOT, both released by U.S.B – the sub label of Japanese Techno legend　Frogman Records. HULOT’s long-awaited First Full Album 『DECO〠was out in 2006 on U.S.B.. The album was well-received by good press and audiences, and the tracks enjoyed the heavily downloads on iTunes Music Store Europe, which proves that his sounds could electrify the listeners outside Japan, too.
HULOT has been invited to several great events to play live/DJ sets, including , where KARAFUTO a.k.a. Fumiya Tanaka played on the same night, and organized by Shin Nishimura and DJ Miyabi. 2007 saw HULOT playing his new live-set at Apple store (Shibuya), he distributed somewhat floor-oriented Electro Tech house to colour up the summer!
