Ross...Railway Studios

What we try to achieve here is a relaxed space where we allow your creativity to grow and be recognised. We mainly specialise in working with Rock, Metal and Indie bands, although Ross is highly experienced in working with a wide variety of genres and is extremely open-minded and experimental therefore allowing artists to retain their own personal and unique sound which can often be lost in translation.
Railway Studios has been blossoming continuously over the years with our client list constantly growing and improvements being made, we have recently installed a new front end which has improved the recording quality considerably and we have added some vintage microphones to our already varied collection, have a look at our Gear section for full information.
The Studio boasts a whole range of facilities:-
2 large live rooms with full PA system, mics, drums, piano and various amps and a selection of fun toys
A dedicated and acoustically treated vocal booth designed specifically for its purpose, separate from live rooms for more privacy
Extremely well equipped Control Room boasting industry standard equipment, both digital and analogue. Although the studio works predominantly in the digital domain, Ross is very fond of analogue processing and keeps the traditional analogue console at the heart of the recording studio, preferring the analogue summing approach and other outboard processing when mixing.
Full office facilities including PC with a range of games & music, apple Mac G5, high-speed broadband and a widescreen TV with sky+
Most importantly, excellent coffee, the best in town! Full kitchen facilities including microwave, cooker, hob, kettle, toaster, extra large George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine, oven gloves so you don't burn your fingers, fridge-freezer, a full size bar standard Stella Artois BEER fridge, a full size Coca Cola drinks fridge and full w/c facilities.
We are in an excellent location, situated only a few minutes walk from the bus and train station and a minute walk to Lisburn City Centre meaning you will never be in short supply of amenities for all your requirements be it food, drink, entertainment or shopping. Although we are so close to the City Centre, we are in a secluded, private and quiet location with full parking facilities. Our site is all based on ground floor level so is easily accessed by disabled persons and assistance is always on hand.
