About Me

Chill acoustic music with a story and a message. Love life even when it sucks ass.
Since I can't figure out how to get video clips on my computer. Here's what I'm Like Live:
We need to take the power back
2/23/08 - Played first secret opener for Downright Blue. I thank these guys with all my heart for giving me this moment. Played five acoustic songs, and I finally did it. I've been wanting to play these songs this way for a long time. I hope you dig it.
3/15/08 - Recording at Star Farms. Had Allan Davidson from Downright Blue and Chris Stearman from Medicine Circus open for my first real Solo preformance/Recording/Live/Chill/Thingy. Both guys are great writers, musicians and singers. I was Nervous and Sick and I Had an Awesome Time. Thank you to everyone who was able to come.
4/2/08 - Played with Go Figure at Liquid Joes. with Scavenger Poet, You May Die in the Desert & Theta Naught. All Very cool bands. It was very fun to play a guitar with electricity. We rocked so hard. Thanks to those who requested songs and those who got t-shirts.
4/12/08 - Addicted Cafe - Played a show with Lorin Cook. Who is an amazing Songwriter. at a vegan coffee shop A very strange change from the darkness and comfort of a bar. I had to dim the lights. I could have played better. More Practice.
4/27/08 - Played Earth Jam at Liberty Park (SLC). Two Days, tons of bands, environmental awareness and the weather kind of cooperated. It was an amazing first for me. I can't believe all the wonderful bands we have in our fair city. Eliza wren, Trinity Forbes, James Shook, Lost By reason, BUddha Pie, war on terra, and Parleys Drifters. were all incredible. My Parents came to see their son today. Hope they had a good time.
4/29/08 - Played at Burts Tiki Lounge (SLC) tonight with 7 other great artists. Melody and Tyler, The Precinct, Muhaw, Lorin Cook and Cambriah. Check out all of these artists they make great music. Shout out to the gentlemen in Parley's Drifters for yellin' and hootin'.
5/17/08 - Jumped on stage and played a very small set at The Fifth in Bountiful tonight. Thanks go out to Buddha Pie for asking me to share the stage. Seeing them in a bar vs. bright day in the park. I found a new admiration for their rock. Rdub played as well who did a very cool Danny Elfman cover.
The Great Golden Hearse Tour:
5/23/08 - The Gristmill Cafe In Andover, NJ. What an Incredible Evening. The venue was great, the audience was great and there were tons of great preformers. Poets, Bands, Solo Acoustic, it was a potpourri of great talent. Don A., Matt, Shannon, the bands Keitcho's Peachos and Medicine Head, everyone there was Incredible. A wonderful venue and enviroment. I appreciate the invite and would love to return.
5/24/08 - Blue Grass Jam at reception In NY. Ran through a set with John on Fiddle, Gordy on Banjo and Myself on Guitar. It was a very education hour for me. Lots of fun. Thanks so much for pushing me.

6/13/08 - The Fifth in Bountiful, UT. The Parley's Drifters and I worked on our Banter, sang some songs to each other, it was very intimate. Those Boys are Bluegrass with an attitude.
6/21/08-Played with Go figure at the Urban Lounge. Opened for Cub Country (great SLC band) and Rock Plaze Cantral (Great Toronto Band). It was a joy and an honor to play electric with two incredible bands. Had an awesome time and Ang, Shawn & Jay all kicked ass. Thanks to those who watched and yelled.
7/7/08 - What an interesting night. a few no shows but David Armstrong, Muhaw and I had an amazing time delivering the acoustic/electric goods. To the few and the proud that dared enter Burts Tiki Lounge on a monday night god bless and thank you so much. New songs went over well and a good time was had by all.
7/12/08 - Five Monkeys (Murray, UT), Buddha Pie, and Some Risque new material. Was asked to dedicate Texas Chainsaw Lovesong to a woman for her birthday. First time I ever dedicated a song about dismemberment to someone and had people dancing to it. New Duet song which I sang by myself was requested as an encore. Great audience with another great group of artists. Thanks.
8/2/08 - The City Club in Ogden, UT is a great venue. I played by myself tonight and played about 2 1/2 hours of material. It was a lot of fun playin the numerous covers I had worked on and god bless to the citizens and visitors of Ogden. The staff was great and to the young man heading over to the middle east, please come home unharmed. Thanks for a great night.
8/16/08 - Poplar Street Pub in Salt lake City. A fantastic night. Go Figure played three long acoustic sets and we played out on the patio under the summer night. The patio was packed and extra tables were brought out. The audience was incredible and Ang, Jay and Shawn played in top form with full hearts. It was a great night and a special thanks to everyone who was a part of it. Looking forward to doing it again.
8/23/08 - The Acoustic Allstars @ The Star Bar in Park City. What a magical awesome evening. The crowd was amazing and the talent on the stage was beyond words. Muhaw, Parley's Drifters, James Shook, Melody and Tyler, Timmy Pearce, & Rachel McGoye. It was a night that will be in my heart forever. Thanks so much to everyone involved and for those who weren't there Man you missed it. Acoustic Power to the people.
10/11/08 - Go Figure @ Poplar Street Pub SLC. This was a fantastic show. We had the joint hoppin'. Ton's of people dancin' the band had an energy that was incredible. It was a great experience to hear a crowd of people sing along with a song I wrote. "I just forgot to take my meds today." thanks to everyone involved it was a great night.
10/25/08 - Star Farms SLC. I had a great show planned and I once again confirmed that practice is a necessity. That and When Your friend gets you a bottle of JD you should pace yourself. Managed to have a great time with The Parley's Drifters and Cambriah and I am so glad they came and played with me. This passing moment was next and I love watching the rhythm section for some reason. Vauxhall Nova closed out the night and I managed to fall asleep in my car. Locking all my gear inside the studio. Still a fun night.
01,10,09 - Star Farms Farewell Show, SLC. It was a great night. Played a swudgie set and had some guests join me once again. Then Go Figure played two sets and we had a great time. Thanks to all of those who came, danced, drank and sang along. It was a great send off and I want to say thanks, I love ya and I will miss everyone very much.

Sounds Like: dark, gloomy, mellow, uplifting, inspirational, bright. Sometimes resembling music

My first Full length CD recorded at spiral studios in Salt Lake City. The original Go Figure back in 1996. Members of Flakey Jane and My Friend Moses came in to help add to the sounds.

An experiment from my basement. The Birth of the name Swudgie. I think it's dark and beautiful. 2003

A Tribute to the Miracle Legion, Polaris and the songs of Mark Mulcahy. So many great songs and so many great bands. Go Figure did a beer drinking alterna-country version of If She Could Cry. If you can't find the disk that's ok. We put it on "Somethings Wrong" later. 2005

Go Figure got to go into Moses Studios to sing some back grounds and percussion. Thanks to the boys in Blue. 2005

The rebirth of Go Figure. The New Go Figure Hit Moses Studios and we busted out 10 tracks of what we do. Some great guests on this one. Mike from Edgars Mule, Phil From Downright Blue, plus if you listen close you can hear our short lived & missed Keyboard player Kat. 2006

Pretty Much outakes from the After hours sessions at Moses Studios. 3 covers, 3 originals and more Kat Tracks. This EP has a warm place in my heart. 2006

First Solo Acoustic performance recorded at Star Farms in Salt Lake City. Went in with 11 tracks and invited a group of family, friends and some other amazing musicians. It was a magical night hope that comes through in the recording. 2008

Back at star farms working on a new full length CD Entitled Wild Wierd Wonderful World. Stay tuned.
